Sales pitch: Cambridge Greek Testament

I want to draw attention to a great deal the "Cambridge Greek Testament for Schools and Colleges"
This is a great deal @ $28.00, its at 70%.... would love to see it close soon.
The hard copy of John alone is on Amazon for $22.24. Its a steal @ $28.00, but could go lower.
..... thats my best pitch

My sales pitch would be it is a very good resource for those interested in Greek! That does not mean you have to know Greek to use it, but of course that helps.
The men that wrote these books were some of the best Greek scholars of their time, and we have very few any better than they are today. Of course we have learned a few things based on more recent finds, but that has a small or no impact on 98% or more of their comments.
We are hard pressed to find so much help on so much of the Greek Testament even at 10 times the cost in todays market.
I find their comments often helpful and would use them more oftern if I had them in Logos rather than another format.
Please consider such a great value for anyone that wants to some day understand the Greek text better!
In Christ,
Jim

Hi Mike and Jim,
I agreed wholeheartedly! I've been onboard for awhile. It's a steal of a deal. When I think of the title "community pricing", it's precisely that. The Logos community determines the outcome...if enough get on board, with the community in mind, then it's a win-win for all of us.
God Bless

I've been onboard for awhile, too... looks like a useful resource at a great price per book.

Me to.. I was onboard when this was a prepub before it was a cp. When it changed to cp I jumped on it.. I bid much higher than the current offering last year so I am happy with the current offering.. I'd be even happier to get it cheaper. [:)]

I'm in on this one, too. To add this resource to my library for $28 or less would definitely be a blessing!

When this resouce was first offered on pre-pub, I was extremely sad, because I could not afford it. I know it has lot's of value, but I did not have the cash!
It blows my mind that it is making progress at this price, if any of you hop on board and get it at this price you will not be sorry.
It is useful in any format, but in Logos it would extremely helpful, don't you just love having your questions answered by a mere click of the mouse and your taken to the right place.
It makes study so fun and time saving, and this is one more great Greek resource at a huge bargin.
I honestly thought it woud be years to get this through, please prove me wrong, for everyone's good.
In Christ,
Jim

Bump ....
I don't know about everyone else, but the Cambridge Bible (57 volumes) turned out to be a LOT better than I ever expected. Last night I was just fascinated on how the author was trying to accommodate the book of Jude. Peter had to calm Jude down.
But now on Logos.com, Cambridge Bible's at $399!
And the Cambridge Greek NT is EVEN BETTER!! (though fewer volumes). And many the same authors as Cambridge Bible too.
Folks BELOW $28 >>>>> up your bid to $28. It'll float down later and everyone will win!!

Been in for awhile and, Lord willing, staying there until this one goes into production!

I just noticed that Dr. David Allen interacts with this set of resources 4 times in his latest commentary in Hebrews, released earlier this week in Logos. What other recent/favorite scholarship have you seen interacting with the CGTSC?

Bump
I raised my bid on this. Does that make ant difference if we all went to the next level?

This is the flattest price curve I have ever seen for Logos community pricing. I think we can hit $20 for the set.

If we'd had until next Friday we could have, but not in 2,5 hours.

This is a community bid. At the end everyone who has a bid at $24 or above will pay the same $24.
I don't think another week would have brought this one down to $20. There is a big jump in numbers needed to bring it down that far. There is a bump that comes from something happening soon. If there was a week it would have taken longer to develop.

I guess I can live with paying $1.14 per volume. [:D]

So we're FINALLY getting this! And we who CP'd it got it for $24! I'd still say it's likely worth the current $99.95 for those who didn't jump in at the CP price, though.
