4.3 Release Candidate 1 (v4.30.0.1498) shipping soon
4.3 Release Candidate 1 (v4.30.0.1498) will ship later this evening or early tomorrow. An RC is considered a stable version.
To upgrade to 4.3 RC 1 once it has shipped, enter the Update now command if you’ve switched to the beta channel before, or enter the Set Update Channel to beta command if you have a stable version installed (such as 4.2b SR-1). Note that since this version is an RC, it will change your default update channel to stable. This means that if we were to ship an RC 2, you wouldn’t get RC 2 automatically, you’d need to switch your update channel to beta or install from the from the download link at http://community.logos.com/forums/t/8883.aspx. (RC 2 would then set the default channel back to stable.)

As the beta licence will soon expire I would appreciate advice on removing PB's and the PB Index.

We do not plan to charge for PBB. It will be free as in [B].

I don't think you will need to do this, as there is no beta license.

Logos has already told usin the release notes that the present Beta built/created pbb's would need to be removed.

Noticed Logos 4.3 Beta 13 Previous Known Issues includes: "Books compiled in the beta cycle will expire, at the latest, when 4.3 is shipped to the stable channel due to further changes that will be made."
Wondering about PBB sync plans and sharing options with other Logos users ? (could be "miles ahead" when can share and sync with mobile devices).
Thankful for free PBB (seems a good place for large Note files).
Keep Smiling [:)]

Ok Chris, tell you what. You can pay me the 100.00 fee that it is worth, that is with you discount of course. If you do not want the discount, then pay the full 250.00. There, now do you feel better? [:D]

I guess I'm not sure what you mean. The best way to remove PB's is to delete them using the PBB tool via right click on a book.

"Books compiled in the beta cycle will expire, at the latest, when 4.3 is shipped to the stable channel due to further changes that will be made."
This was related to the way we compiled books. It appears we didn't notify you all that during Beta 13 we made the final change to the format that required all books to be rebuilt in order for them to work again. It looks like we didn't do a good job of conveying that information to Melissa or Tonya either as I see http://community.logos.com/forums/t/36031.aspx seems to have left her baffled too. My apologies on that you should be able to simply rebuild all the books in your list and they should 'just work'.

Todd, why are they still showing up in the library, even though they have been deleted. They cannot be opened however.

I'm not able to reproduce an issue where they remain in the library even if they are deleted. If you can please start a new forum thread with details on how to reproduce that issue.
It is possible that you deleted them back in the early beta cycle when we had a bug that made it so we were not deleting properly. If this is the case then I will need to look into the best solution when I am at the office.

The first verse will always belong to Him, but I can put you in the second verse,
[8][8][8]Oh Happy Day....Oh Happy Dayay.....When all my PB's, didn't go away[8][8][8]

How does one remove all evidence of compiling PB's, including the Index? Or will every installation have a PB Index irrespective of having Books?

If you can still open those books, and they were compiled earlier in the beta cycle, but were deleted from the PB tool, you can remove them from the Library by deleting the book files from Resources, and then deleting the files in your PersonalBookIndex folder so the index is rebuilt when you restart Logos 4.. You would locate the book files in Resources by finding the .lbspbb filename in the Support Info section of the books' info panel. The filename consists of a long alphanumeric string.

I do hope that this issue is fixed:

It is a pain and has not been addressed over the past 6 betas.

i cannot--when I click on them the warning screen comes up "you have this but..."
HOWEVER I was able to do all of the other instructions.
There was no way to get that long "number" from any of the "phantom" books.but (fortunately) I only had one PBB that I wanted to save and its "long number" was available through the "info" button. Once I had its Resource number I just subtractred all of the other lbspbb numbers.
After deleting the files in my PersonalBookIndex folder the index was rebuilt when I restarted Logos 4.
By then the Phantom books had disappeared from MyLibrary.
Thanks
Also thanks for your role in shepherding us through this PBB process-- This PBB option is VERY greatly appreciated.
Thanks again

A fix for this did not make into 4.3, but we are working to have it fixed in the next release.
