Release Candidate Crash linked to floating Panel (on second monitor)?

I too have been suffering from the 'Crash on opening Saved Layout' syndrome since updating to the Release Candidate last evening.

My Reading Plan layout has the 'Logos Box' with one book (four tabs for the same book), one bible (NKJV) and explorer. Floating on the second monitor is a panel with 'Biblical Places' open which I use to improve my biblical geography.

This Layout will not open with out crashing Logos.

If I rebuild the Layout without the floating panel then it opens without problem - add back the floating panel and it crashes.

Will post logs when the developers get round to providing a simple switch to turn logging off and on.

That has already been provided. You can turn temporary logging on by pressing the Cmd key immediately after you start Logos 4 and keeping it held down until the Sign In window appears. Then click the Sign In button to open Logos 4 with logging enabled for that session.

However I really do find that I am unable to post logs because turning on logs cures the problem.

Half a dozen crashes in a row - turn on logging (by starting with command key held down) and the layout opens - talk about 'Catch 22'.

There was another recent report like yours where enabling logging resolved the problem. It could be that logging slows things down, changing the timing of things enough to prevent a crash. I'll let developers know. Thanks.

Update: Developers have tracked this down to an issue with Lion and, primarily, loading a floating window in a layout. They are working on a fix, which will be included in RC2.
