New Beta
I loaded the new app from the market and the information says that one of the recently changed features is the addition of the Passgae Guide and the Text Comparison and the Bible Word Study, "accesible from the Reading Views Menu". Well, I cannot find the passae guide or Text Comparison anywhere. Maybe I am looking in the wrong area. please help. Thanks.

Also, no Greek definition show up in the BWS. It is all "greyed" out.

Michael,
You have to actually be in the "Reading View" which means you must select a book (typically a bible, I would think) from your library. Once that's done go to "Menu" and then Passage Guide, Text Comparison, Word Study, etc., will be available to you.....

When you have a Bible open, press on a verse and release.
Then click the Menu button and you should get the options there.
Hope this helps
Graham
PS: If you press and hold on a word you get the option to do a Bible Word Study

What sort of device - tablet or phone?

I've been playing with the new features and I've noticed that you can't actually "press on a verse and release" to highlight the verse yet. (at least in my tests You can press on a word and hold to get the Word Study option.
This is fairly inconvenient because there is no quick way to select a verse you want a passage guide or a text comparison for. Please correct me if i am wrong.
I am operating the software on the HTC Thunderbolt.

Hi Daniel
Just checking we are seeing the same thing
If you just briefly press on the verse do you get the "reference box" displayed at the top - with the back arrow to the left and the verse picker available to the right?
In my tests, this reference box - at this point - shows the verse at the current top of the screen
If you then bring up the menu options, there are arrows to the left and right of the verse to allow you to select different verses against which you can then run the Passage Guide
Are you seeing the same thing?

Thank you for your quick reply Graham. Yes, I am seeing the same thing. I just noticed the "quick verse selector" when you press the menu button (the arrows to the right and to the left of the verse). It seems I was a little blind. That makes using the Passage guild and Text Comparison a lot easier.
Thanks for great explanation.

It seems to me that at this in the beta, the app is just a glorified version of library.logos.com. What I mean by that it that it does not have all of your books available. I went to perform a BWS and I searched by library for my NA27 and the only option that I got was the NA26, just like library.lgos.com. Now why would Logos do that? Make all the books available! Why would I want to use NA26, when NA27 is available; better yet, why would Logos make available in the app NA26 and NOT NA27. Does not make much sense to me. Hopefully all of our books will be made available in later releases.

This looks like a licencing issue - it is discussed in http://community.logos.com/forums/p/35411/267045.aspx

FYI: the text of NA26 is the same as NA27, the difference is in the apparatus. Same with UBS3 and 4.
