Wish list: collections vs whole library

When I bring up my library on my ipod touch I see a HUGE list. Not a bad thing but if you want to narrow down the books (and they can sometimes take a while to load), it can be frustrating - particularly if you are looking for Zondervan Dictionary!

I would like the screen, which currently has "Library" and "Recent Books" to have a 'drop down" for my collections - that way I can setup a collection for "Dictionary" or "Bible" and reach the group of books I want to look at.

While I am requesting - it seems to make sense that a couple of default collections be in place of the whole library as it is rare that I need access to the whole library. Defaults might be:

- references for the Old / New Testament
- different bible versions
- commentaries
- dictionaries

Hi Mark, I agree, access to collections would be a great improvement. On my iPad in the library search window I use the following abbreviations to help with navigation, I suppose they would work on an iPod also. Of course others would use different varieties of this.

eng bib = English Bibles

gr dic = Greek lexicons

dic = most dictionaries

nt comm = picks up some NT commentaries

harm = harmonies of the Bible

dic lex = language dictionaries

comm Luke = commentaries on a specific book

com luke nic = narrows it to NICNT

bi di = Bible dictionaries

bda = BDAG

I too would like that, but better would be user tags. One could tag a books, or group of books, and search based on tags. Books could have multiple tags. For example, one could tag Calivin's Institutes with a Theology tag and a tag to indicate teh century it was published.

I would want the app to utilize the existing desktop tags though, rather than having its own separate set of tags. No sense in having to tag our libraries twice.
