Shouldn't these books be available on iOS??? Oversights?
OK, so I've gone through my desktop library and tagged everything that isn't on iOS yet. I made a few interesting discoveries when I sorted by publisher. First, as was noted in the percentage available thread, the following books of the Opening Up series aren't available, though the rest of the series is:
Day One Publications
- Opening Up 2 Thessalonians
- Opening Up Genesis
- Opening Up Haggai
- Opening Up James
- Opening Up Joshua
- Opening Up Matthew
Is that just an oversight (that can be quickly corrected)? Or is there a reason that Day One hasn't given mobile rights for these 6?
Second, there is a similar situation with a few Moody Press titles:
- A Survey of Old Testament Introduction
- The Wycliffe Bible Commentary: New Testament
- The Wycliffe Bible Commentary: Old Testament
There are tons of other Moody Press titles that are available in iOS, so I'm again wondering if these are just an oversight?
Third and perhaps more confusing is that there are several Logos published resources that aren't available:
Bridge-Logos
- The New Manners and Customs of the Bible
I have three other Bridge-Logos titles that ARE available on iOS (101 Things Husbands do to annoy their wives, EDBN, and Intimate Moments with the Hebrew Names of God)
Logos Bible Software
- Logos Bible Software Infographics
Is there any technical reason for this one?
Logos Research Systems, Inc.
- A Harmony of the Synoptic Gospels for Historical and Critical Study
- King James Version 1769 EDIT: Looks like this one is available, I had changed the title so hadn't noticed it in iOS
- Records of the Life of Jesus
There are tons of Logos Research Systems resources that ARE available, so I'm assuming that these ones are just an oversight?
Finally, I'm assuming there is a technical reason for the timelines not being available? There are eight of those:
- Church History
- English Bible Versions
- Intertestamental Period
- Israel's Judges
- Israel's Kings
- New Testament Books
- Old Testament Books
- Old Testament Prophets
Anybody with larger libraries have any (potential) oversights they can add to these lists? I know I'm making a lot of assumptions about these titles, but if they truly were just overlooked, it would be great to just "flip the switch" and make them available on our mobile devices.

Hi Ron, thanks so much for reporting this! I will go through and check to make sure that there are no technical/contractual glitches with these appearing on the iphone. The Opening Up Commentaries, at least, should be available.
thanks!

Update:
All of the Day One books, including the Opening Up commentaries should now be available.
Bridge-Logos has not given iphone approval for New Manners and Customs of the Bible.
The other ones may be Logos-4 only resources for technical reasons which aren't clear to me, but I'm finding out for sure, and will post again when I know for sure.
thanks!

Fantastic, thanks Jana! How about the three Moody Press titles? (I just realized that I didn't do a bold/italic of the publisher like I did for the others:

Hi Ron, I'm still working on getting the word on the Moody titles, but this afternoon was able to verify and update the following three Logos resources to the internet platform and verify that the timelines are built differently from regular resources and so are not usable on mobile platforms.
Logos Bible Software
InfographicsA Harmony of the Synoptic Gospels for
Historical and Critical StudyRecords of the Life of Jesus
We're getting there! thanks again for your detailed info.

Hmmm...I see the second two, but I don't see "Logos Bible Software Infographics" in my iPad library.

In another thread, a long time Logos customer was wondering about the mobile availability of some older Libronix works by Wesley and Barclay. Apparently some other works (Calvin and Spurgeon) by the same publisher are available on mobile devices. Is there any way you could check on those for him? Thanks!

The Wesley books from AGES were approved to add the internet platform, so you should see them now.
The Barclay Commentaries from Westminster-Knox are not yet approved.
Thanks for checking on this!

You mentioned above that the Logos Bible Software Infographics should now be available, but I don't see them in my mobile library yet. Should they be showing as an individual resource? Or are they hidden within something else?
Thanks,
Ron

Ron,
She said they are NOT available.

Ron, it looks like there's a technical issue preventing the Infographics from showing up on mobile devices. We're working on figuring it out and will keep you posted.
Thanks again for asking!

AlanNope...you are confusing the two different issues that were addressed:

The markup is mine...the bold/italics is where she noted that those three resources (Infographics being one of the three) were verified and updated to be accessed on mobile/internet platforms. The underlined portion was referring to the timelines not being usable on mobile platforms. [;)]

Hi guys, thanks for bearing with us on this issue. After some testing by the mobile department, we've found that due to a technical issue, Logos Bible Software Infographics can't currently be displayed on the iphone platform.
My hope would be that of course this would not be the case permanently, but I wouldn't expect it to be corrected next week, either.
Thanks!
