Avoiding reindexing and resource downloading

I need to reformat my hard drive. In order to save time concerning Logos4 and avoiding the reindexing and redownloading of my resources, is this still the quickest way to do it?

Thanks! I didn't even notice the date...I came across the link in an old email message posted back in 2010!...so that is why I was asking.

I use method 2 everytime I have a large update to get on my netbook (because indexing takes such a long time on it). In fact I just used it two days ago. It has always worked great.

Thanks, Fred. That's good to know, since Method 2 was what I have done thus far...now just need to reformat laptop!
