The first line of your log says: 4.2b SR-1, version 4.22.5.1109

Upgrade L4 to SR-2: Tools > Program Setting: set Automatically Download Updates to "Yes" and restart L4. Download should begin/finish automatically. If it doesn't post all the logs here.

I cannot even get to opening L4. I get teh initial small window, then the panel saying that there is a problem and Windows is looking for a solution, then that "solution" panel closes. The attempt to lope L4 aborts.

Glad it worked. Sorry, I stepped out of the discussion for a while (I'm preaching on a difficult passage this week (1Peter 3:18-22), which has more of my attention). I'm glad Mark was able to help you out!
