Books don't open correctly
All 3 beta versions I've installed don't open some books to the 1st page. This is on a Motorola Droid running Android 2.2. Any ideas?

Hi Nick
Which books are you seeing this problem in?

I first noticed it in The Complete Guide to Bible Versions and have since noticed it in Diving for Pearls in God's Treasure Chest, The Logos Bible Mapset, Logos Hymnal, New American Standard Bible (opened to John 1), The New Bible Dictionary, The New Century Version, New King James Version, Robinson Crusoe, Summarized Bible: Complete Summary of the Old Testament, & TheTreasury of Scripture Knowledge. I didn't check all the books. These are the ones I'm most likely to use. This has been across 3 beta versions. The latest being Beta 9.

What I think you are seeing here is that the Android app is opening these books to the last page you were looking at on your computer version.
When I opened the NASB (for example) it opened to John 4:40.
It is designed to work this way.
Hope this helps

I could accept that explanation except that a couple of the books (Diving for Pearls, for instance) I've never seen before.

In which case I don't understand.
I have just opened "Diving for Pearls" (which I had never opened before) on my Android phone and it opened at page 1.
If you open it, go to page 1 and then close it, where does it open to the next time you open it?
I think the "last read page" must have got set in some way and will need to be reset (either on your Android or other Logos platform)
Sorry I can't think of anything else

That seems to solve the problem. I got back to the title page of Diving for Pearls, exited Logos, turned my phone off & back on, got back into Logos. Diving for Pearls opened to the title page. I don't have Diving for Pearls in my regular library. So, I'm not sure how the "last page read" could have gotten set. I'll just have to remember the fix for other books. Thanks.

Had meant to ask when I posted my last reply. I noticed Beta 9 is no longer listed as the current version. Beta 8 is listed now.

I never saw an official announcement about Beta 9 as far as I can remember.

Hi Nick
Glad it is working

Can you expand on this a little please?
While I know that some books available in the computer (PC / Mac) library aren't available on mobile devices I thought that all resources which were accessible on mobile devices were also visible on the computer version. I certainly see "Diving for Pearls" in my main PC library.

Diving for Pearls seems to be available in the Android app free of charge while in the windows, and I presume Mac, versions it has to be purchased (£3 or so I think).

Thanks David
I had forgotten the free books available via Bibla (and hence mobile devices)
If anyone else is interested there is a list of these at http://community.logos.com/forums/p/33840/256414.aspx#256414
I picked up the "Diving for Pearls" book with my base package which is why I got confused.
