Logos Help for Macbook pro
Just switched from PC to Mac, and PC Study Bible to Logos. Two things that I need help with are:
1) How can I take the text from Logos to my Word document, and have the passage as well as the chapter verse showing?
2) How do I do a word search connecting two words?
Thanks for your help!

For #1, choose Tools | Copy Bible Verses. That opens a small tab where you can choose how you want the passage formatted and a target for the copied verses (or you can simply copy the verses and paste them manually). If you choose "Microsoft Word" as a destination, then hitting "Copy and Paste" will launch word if it isn't running and paste at the first position or paste in the current document.
For #2, what do you mean? Two words right next to each other, within a few words of each other, etc.?

Thanks Richard for your help!
Question No. 2- In PC i can look up everywhere in the Bible that contains words like "grace" and "God" in the same verse. I can also do a search for say the word faith. If i put a * after the word faith*, it will pull up all the words like faithful, faithfulness etc. Is there a way I can do this in Logos?
Thanks again!!

Hi Brad
Have a look at the section on "Matching all word forms" at http://wiki.logos.com/Detailed_Search_Help#Matching_Case_or_All_Word_Forms

Dear Brad
Like you I found it hard at first, I was recommended these tutorials, at first I did not have the time. I forced myself change my work load, and now I'm glad I did it. its slow bot two weeks time it all becomes worth while:

Thanks!
One other question that I have is;
When I am copying text from Logos, it goes directly to Word, which is perfect, but how to I change it to my specifications, Example, I want the Chapter Verse and passage all on the same line, but when I am copying a whole passage example Luke 7:1-10 I want each verse on seperate lines?
Thanks!

Logos 4 default search operand is AND for two words in one Bible verse:
Personally choose to search my collection of English Bibles (vis all bibles in my Library), then clicked "The Message" in grid header to show many verses with God and grace.
Wiki has => Getting Started with Logos page that has many tips, more wiki links, plus links to excellent unofficial Logos 4 training videos.

Thankyou for your help, that is exactly what i needed! Another question that I have is:
Can you copy multiple bible verses at once, like Romans 1:2 and matthew 3:4 and Revelation 1:1 and they paste all three on Microsoft Word?
Thanks everyone for your help! I am new to Logos and finding it a bit difficult to transition!
Blessings

No problem. Welcome to Logos! I used PC Study Bible a few years ago and was very pleased with the transition away from it to Logos.

Sort of, but it's not as straightforward (unless someone knows another method). This method would probably be best if you have a bunch of verses to copy. For 3 or 4, just copy them one at a time.
For a bunch of verses, create a new passage list. You can find info on passage lists at the wiki. Once you have a passage list, just add all your verses to it. When you're done, you will want to export the passage list to either an RTF or text file. You can open either of these in Word and copy/paste the verses to your main document.
You will probably want to export as txt since rtf puts the reference and text in separate columns, making it a little harder to work with. Also, the print/export tool on the Mac is still a bit buggy and generally gets margins wrong, but if you export to text it should be fine.
See the screenshots below for a little more info.

Initially used Apple's Pages '09 with Logos 4.3 Release Candidate 3 to copy comma separated verse list:
Thankful for TextEdit option in Copy Bible Verses along with Keynote, Microsoft Word, and Proclaim.
Apologies: have LibreOffice 3.4 installed so clicked copy button in Logos 4 Mac, then pasted in LibreOffice text document:
For grins, included footnotes to see how LibreOffice 3.4 would handle footnotes formatted for Word from clipboard.

Thankful for passage list reply. Personally living and learning, copied list of example verses as requested, changed "and" to comma to see what would happen (since Logos 4 uses comma separated resources in Text comparison, wondered if commas usable in Copy Bible Verses).
