George... I don't know what your trying to say in your ramblings. And, I am sure you don't either... otherwise you would have said it! Think about it. It might come to you in your disconnectedness. George, I know you are a self appointed language expert, is disconnectedness even a word? Hold it right there and I'll check my interlinear.

I love the interlinear and reverse one too... they are a great way to learn.[8o|]
MJD and George, Would you two please take this somewhere else? It's a shame when such acrimony takes root...especially when it then spills over into other threads. It's not necessary, and I believe it's something the rest of the forum users would prefer doesn't characterize this community. Thanks!

There is no bitterness here Stephen, I love George's posts. He has a personality and insight that brings enjoyment and fun to the forum. Lighten up!
Ask a 5th grade teacher who may be able to teach you to use a dictionary (if you're teachable).
I didn't realize there was anything going on but some good-natured teasing.
That is because you know these two (MJD & George) Some other readers might actually take them seriously. [:P] Not me, though.
It looks like the automatic upgrade to version 4.3 is underway so we are all ready for this massive collection!!
Tom
Quite a hint now :-)

I am not sure it has anything to do with the Collection we wait for but it has a lot to do with Personal Books (PBB)! It is at least as good news as the one we wait for. [Y]
isn't it the one we were waiting for?

It wasn't meant to be a hint about the content/type of the material but rather that I suspect they have quietly added resource associations or whatever they call them now. Those 3133 resources need to be integrated into L4's various features and I'm sure this was done in 4.3. Now we just have to wait and see what they are

3133?
Do you know something I don't?
[:)]
Did you know the billionth digit of pi is 9? Do you know that 3133 divided by pi is 997.26487341381617392782566129217? If not then, yes. [8-|]

That is only an approximation. [8-|]
Ok, I bit and added Dan to my Twitter account that I haven't used in months. Still waiting for the solution.
So if we have 3000 books, that is a significant amount of file size that will eat into my monthly allotment of bandwidth that AT&T now imposes as well as taking space on the HD.
Free - sort of - but grateful
I would also appreciate an email from anyone: brroth at gmail dot com
[C] You were supposed to reply to Dan's tweet and he will message you back privately. But, not to worry! Go check your email. [;)]
Someone want to let me know as well? Thx
Apologies: wonder about email address ?
Keep Smiling [:)]
Could someone fill me in?
Thanks
Could someone fill me in? Thanks
Sure. Cement, resin, water, something else? First, why don't you just get a Twitter account and tweet DanPritchett? If you have some valid reason for not getting a Twitter account (free), I'm sure we can help you, but otherwise I think you should remain in the dark. Also, if you have a good reason for not getting a Twitter account, you still need to give us your email address (not in plain text).
You'll need to post an email, preferably munged Jason. Like this:
myemail at the mail that is hot. We all know that means myemail@hotmail.com

Harbey please remove your email address asap - spam bots will get hold of it and eventually cause you to lose the will to live as they relentlessly clog up your inbox leaving you wondering if there is any good left in the world.
Break it up into some kind of code i.e. myaddress at mailprovider dot net.
That ought to do it.
In the mean time I will email you with Dan's tweet!
By the way, you can edit your post by clicking 'More' on the top right hand corner, and selecting 'Edit', but only for a limited period of time.
wasn't today supposed to be the day of the releaseIt was a bit vague, simply next week some time.
Yes, but today is the last business day of the aforementioned "next week"... [;)]
Hello Richard,
Thanks for your concern. You have restored my faith in the goodness of the human heart. Although, like you predicted, my Inet provider is now struggling with the terabytes of extra bandwidth caused by e-mails from long lost African cousins wanting to share their inheritance with me and letters telling me that in 4 minutes my luck will change if I stand on my head and "recite this message out-loud" .
By the way, (This might help some other forum users) for years I've been using the hanamalu address as a junk address. This is the address I give when I sign in to a web site or purchase something. This address gets literary hundreds of messages each week. I only visit it about once a month and just to clear it. (Or in cases like today, in which I have to publish it publicly) My personal address, the one I read daiiy and only gets the traffic I'm interested is well hidden under my pillow.
Thanks for the BP tweet!
"Viva Cristo Rey!!"

Dan did not say we could not say what the secret is not! (triple negative there)
Good. The secret is not Every Cookbook You Always Wanted But Couldn't Afford to Buy. [:D]

Well, that will surely lower interest in what it is. If it's not "every cookbook . . . ," then what does it matter? [:'(]

But George is known to stretch the truth - not lie, just stretch. I mean, if it were every cookbook but one, his statement would still be true. Oh, no - now i have let the cat out of the bag.
I wonder how many Pre-Pub orders will be placed for this in the first 30 minutes of it's posting.....
My guess is 702.
I'm the bibliophile that doesn't even know what I'll be getting with the 3,000+ books (even though I've received the DM that let's me know what the package is), yet I'm still excited to get it and dig through it for a while to figure out what I even downloaded.
That said, will it come out today, or maybe over the weekend?
I doubt that it will come out when Logos is closed. They might need to baby-sit the servers.
While it may be announced today, I expect that it will be quite some time before it is released...
It is probably all set to go and needs nothing more than Dan Pritchett to push one key on his keyboard to start the mad dash. I can see Dan sitting in his office, feet propped up on his his desk, eating a bag of Doritos, watching the stats climb on how many hits are racking up on the Pre-Pub page. If he doesn't push that button soon Logos.com may crash. [co] [6] ~ Muh-hah-hah-ha ~~

I hear that Dan prefers Cheetos. [6]

Actually... I think it's Tim's Cascade. If you're from Washington, you HAVE to like Tim's Cascade.
You can all give it a rest until Monday. I have a spycam installed over Dan's computer and when he went post the Pre-Pub, nothing happened. It appears a small crumb of a Dorito chip fell into the keyboard and lodged under the "enter" key. Dan put in a service order with the Hardware Maintenance Division but they can not replace the USB keyboard until Monday morning.Let's all meet back here then.
