Flip pages

I use calibre to read epub e-books and really enjoy the more book-like feel of flipping pages horizontally rather than scrolling down / page down. It would be nice to be able to do the same with Logos 4. With the advent of ebooks and ebook readers and kindle in the Logos conversation, indeed any enhancement to reading experience would be appreciated (the multi-column and full-screen features having been a good start).

Have you tried using a single column? You can use the arrows at the bottom or on your keyboard to advance pages. I realize there isn't an animation of a page turn (which I suspect is what you're asking for) but it's decently close to book reading.

Yes, I have tried it. It's not bad. But the actual side to side flip is more than not bad, it's NICE. And nice is really nice when one seeks to read and forget that they are in front of a computer.

The Logos apps for Android and iOS do have this side-to-side swipe feature, and it's very nice. I could see them incorporating it into the main Logos app, especially once Windows 8 comes out and everyone has touch-sensitive screens. However a mouse swipe would be a close enough alternative UI.

What's next? Dog-eared pages for bookmarks (pick your own angle or origami style), auto-yellowing of the pages the longer you own the book, coffee mug stain in the books we read the most? [;)]
