Shawn, I've already replied to two of your posts.....
Would you please take a look at this??
Thanks! Peace and Joy in the Lord!
Really freaky Milford. I have no idea.
On my PC Milford my picture shows on these posts. ???
What can we do, Shawn?
Can you look at your Logos Account to see whether it is me or thee??
*smile*
Already have, it's me.
Maybe I'll turn my computer off and check again to see if I'm causing a glitch of any kind!
Bye for an hour or so!
If it's still there, I'll change my avatar. It's old anyway.
Shawn's picture looks good to me, maybe MCM it's a caching proble on your PC or something:
Thanks Dominick
On my computer both of your pictures show correctly. (Except for that snippet Milford posted above.)
Really strange! (It is a full moon tonight, isn't it?) [mo]
edit: Why complain, Milford? It makes you look 30 years younger. [;)]
Re-edit: I got it backwards. Maybe Shawn is just going for that mature look. [;)]
Peace, Dominick! *smile*
I went to Explorer 9 Tools and deleted history etc., but I still see my picture on Shawn's last post.
Any other ideas...
Moon is just past full here in the North, Matthew! Weird, indeed! *smile*
Partly solved, Brothers!
I switch to Google Chrome, and everything works fine. The problem is me, I think...
Not me really, but Internet Explorer 9...
Reminds me a bit of Walt Kelly's Pogo! "We have met the enemy ---- and he is us!
check this out, eh?? *smile* http://www.incommunion.org/2005/04/25/we-have-met-the-enemy-and-he-is-us/
Besides the Internet Options in tools which I've done twice, does anyone have an idea how to repair it??
Thanks in advance for any help!
Yeah. Switch to Mozilla Firefox. [:D]
Seriously, I never use Microsoft's latest version of IE. Just about the time they get a stable browser and everyone else gets compatible MS goes off and releases another new buggy beta version. Chrome works well but you have to guard against the Google boys desire for world domination. The constant war between MS & Google reminds me of two teenagers launching DNS bombs ("Denial of Service") On occasion, I will also use Opera. It is not 100% compatible with all internet features but it is stable and fast.
Wish you well.
Well, now! The situation is solved by using Google Chrome ...
and by using Safari
and by using Firefox
Guess I will just use one or all of these until Internet Explorer cleans itself up....
......... if it ever does??!!! *smile*
Blessings and Peace to all! ... and "to all a Good Night"!
Or Good Morning depending on which side of God's Earth you are on!

I seriously doubt that IE is the problem. You are the only one having that problem. I'm using IEand have no problem. I'd reboot if I were you -- perhaps run a virus scan.
I love reading the title to this thread, clicking on it to find out who on earth could have posted this... and then finding out it was Milford. Made my night! [:D]
Super Tramp ... I guess you saw the scientific study that demonstrated Opera users on average have a 120 IQ (and IE6 users are down at 80). Of course, that means half are likely even higher.
It did NOT take long before Redmond likely put out the word that the study (and site) was a joke.
Even with scientifically proven studies like this, Redmond STILL can reverse the evidence. Don't think the Google boys really have a chance.
If you wander over to Opera periodically, check out the Dragonfly functionality (Tools > Advanced > Dragonfly). Lets you monitor everything a page is doing and easily examine all the CS code as well as tracking. Watching Logos' use of Fetchback is interesting.
I understand a similar study is now in the works to measure the IQ of Bible software users, by software package. Should be interesting. Wouldn't be surprised if BW wins that shootout.
HA HA........ It's funny!
Whew ! That doesn't include me since I us IE9. [8-|]
Uh, that study was a hoax.

See point #1 "Opera" above. [:)]
IE: speaks for itself.
I've never heard it, and I think my hearing is excellent for an almost 39 yr old (I avoid rock concerts). [:)]
Oh, this is such a sad, sad day for Opera.
It's no wonder Firefox is trying to attract the Mensa crowd.
Of course, that would be those with IQ's measurably higher than the Opera crowd.
Hi Keven. Yes indeed. The mystery is why it wasn't obvious from the start that a spread of 80 to 120 IQ was statistically impossible, since the range is about 99%+ of the population.
You have to assume the whole charade assumed 'the press'.

I thought it was funny. Especially the way the BBC takes back door credit for exposing the hoax, when it was their reades' raising their collective eyebrow (after BBC had taken the bait just as quickly as the other media outlets.) [^o)]
Just goes to show; P. T. Barnum was right.

The opera crowd should have very good IQ levels. If you need to understand Italian, French and German (and most likely as a 2nd language), you can't be a real slouch. [H]

As Southern Opera fans should know, "It ain't over till the fat lady sings." [:)]

Kate Smith won't be doing any more singing on this earth.
To Shawn Drewitt,
Peace to you ........... and ............. Always Joy in the Lord!
I apologise for any inconvenience and displeasure I may have caused you! *smile*
As I said in one post on this thread, quoting Pogo, "We have met the enemy, and he is us!" Finally I figured out, I think(!), what was going haywire on my computer with Internet Explorer 9.
A few weeks ago (Windows 7 is new to me since last December) I read some of the information re. IE9. One of the things it talked about was pinning to the task bar at the bottom of my desktop.
So I pinned the "community.logos.com site to the tray at the bottom of my desktop. It was very convenient to instantly access the forums, one of my most-used web sites.
For some reason, the "pin" seems to have grown old and cranky and stale, causing such weird effects as putting my picture on your post! Sorry, indeed! Although I had cleaned my regular IE9 cache, that didn't "clean up"!
When I removed the "pin," your picture came back onto your post, just the way things are supposed to be! *smile*
IE9 is my favourite browser; however, now I have Google Chrome, Safari, and Firefox on my computer, available when I need them.
While I'm writing, let me share also with you and other Brothers and Sisters on these Logos Forums. Yesterday at Divine Service we sang a hymn that was very moving and meaningful to me. Seems that it's a fairly ancient hymn. It follows, now, with a Latin translation just to keep George Somsel busy.
Also, this hymn was sung by the Westminster Cathedral Choir at the recent Royal Wedding of Prince William and Princess Kate. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3KjZvC_ga9M&feature=grec_index
Charity and Love
Where charity and love prevail there God is ever found:
Brought here together by Christ's love by love are we thus bound.
With grateful joy and holy fear his charity we learn;
Let us with heart and mind and soul now love Him in return.
Forgive we now each other's faults as we our faults confess,
and let us love each other well in Christian holiness.
Let strife among us be unknown; let all contention cease;
be God's the glory that we seek; be ours His holy peace.
Let us recall that in our midst dwells Christ, His only Son;
as members of His body joined we are in Him made one.
For love excludes no race or clan that names the Saviour's name;
His family embraces all whose Father is the same.
Text: Latin, c.9th century, translated by Omer E. Westendorf, 1916-97
Tune: Music: Attr. to Lucius Chapin Tune: TWENTY-FOURTH, Meter: CM
Ubi caritas et amor, Deus ibi est.
Congregavit nos in unum Christi amor.
Exultemus, et in ipso jucundemur.
Timeamus, et amemus Deum vivum.
Et ex corde diligamus nos sincero.
Simul ergo cum in unum congregamur:
Ne nos mente dividamur, caveamus.
Cessent iurgia maligna, cessent lites.
Et in medio nostri sit Christus Deus.
Simul quoque cum beatis videamus,
Glorianter vultum tuum, Christe Deus:
Gaudium quod est immensum, atque probum,
Saecula per infinita saeculorum. Amen
Where charity and love are, God is there.
Christ's love has gathered us into one.
Let us rejoice and be pleased in Him.
Let us fear, and let us love the living God.
And may we love each other with a sincere heart.
As we are gathered into one body,
Beware, lest we be divided in mind.
Let evil impulses stop, let controversy cease,
And may Christ our God be in our midst.
And may we with the saints also,
See Thy face in glory, O Christ our God:
The joy that is immense and good,
Unto the ages through infinite ages. Amen
Milford! You are so kind and thank you for your note. No offense was taken and I'm glad you got that problem fixed.
Thank you for the hymn you posted as well!

Peace, Shawn!
You're most certainly welcome. Also thanks for overlooking the "egg on my face."
One of the reasons I sent the hymn was because I know music is pretty major in your life...
If you ever come to Eastern Canada, let me know; and I wiil take in your "gig" or whatever you call it? concert? ??
Thanks again, Shawn! *smile*
Thanks Milford, I've sung in Sherbrooke, PQ. Where are you?
Peace, Shawn! *smile* Was part of your presentation in French, also???
I live in Oshawa, Ontario - on the other side of the lake from Floyd!
If you get anywhere near a 3 or 4 hour drive from me, let me know! *smile*
Peace to you! (Sherbrooke is marked "A" to the top right on the map! Nice country there, eh?)
Actually, Milford, I sang in English but their services are conducted in French. I don't think most of the people in the lower 48 realize that "little France" is so close!
I appreciate your kind words once again. I've never sung in Ontario, or for that matter anywhere near Ottawa. Maybe one day if the Lord wills.
This is my favorite opera singer; Montserrat Caballe (on the right [:)])
Freddie Mercury wrote an opera for her and they performed it together in Barcelona. It was a hybrid of classical, gospel and rock, and sung in English Japanese and Spanish (or maybe Portuguese?) I am in awe of the beauty of this lady's voice. Here are a few U-toob clips of their duets.
