i purchased an ebible cd-rom; installed it, but when the libronix program starts up it does not ask for the serial # activation. When i go to the program to unlock it i am asked to purchase the program, but what i would like to do is input the serial code to have it activated in my libronix, which syncs to Logos 4. anyone have a solution? help!

A phone call to Logos Customer Service will get this done. I have had two or three Libronix titles that needed to be activated to be used within L4. Give them the serial number, and they can activate the titles for L4 over the phone.

No fears. Floyd is right. It should take no more than 5 minutes on the phone. Your resources may even begin to download while you are on the phone (if you do a restart). [:)]

Beside the good advice already given (calling can sort this out quickly), if you want to get this going without human contact, Libronix can be a little inconsistent (in my experience) when it comes to code activation. Sometimes no code is needed, as the program seems to get something from the CD-ROM that it likes and activates automatically. Sometimes the code is requested at the next start-up of Libronix (and/or as the installation process finishes). Sometimes the code is requested when you go to sync your licenses (Tools > Account Management).

In any case, assuming that your version of Libronix is up to date (3.0g), and that you can open your new resources in Libronix, you will need to synchronize your licenses with the same user ID you use in Logos4 in order for L4 to discover the licenses and download them for you. Note that after syncing, Logos4 may take some time to register your new licenses and populate that information to its servers.After that, Logos4 should pick up the information after a restart or by typing update now into the command bar.

EDIT: Or you could just call customer service and have them unlock it for you, as described by others above.

Wonder if ebible cd-rom has a setup folder with AutoUpdate.lbxupd ? If so, wonder about running AutoUpdate.lbxupd ? Then open Libronix 3, which should prompt for serial code for activation. After activation, can sync licenses in Libronix, then update resources in Logos 4.

Jeff, I recently had the same problem. After fussing with it for a couple of hours (Logos was not yet open for the day), I finally called CS and gave the helpful lady the activation code. She plugged it in and all was well.
