Having a collections issue in Mac

OK, I'm feeling very foolish in asking this, but I can't seem to edit my collections correctly now that I am in Mac. I created a lot of collections in the Windows version. I have since switched to the Mac version, but haven't had a chance to use it much yet. I am trying to edit those collections as I did in Windows, or create some new ones. For some reason, I can't seem to get the drag and drop feature to work (e.g., where you drag a book from within a collection list to the 'subtract book from the collection' column, or from My Library to the "add" column). I can drag and drop things in other programs without any problem. I am obviously doing something wrong or maybe have a setting that isn't correct. This is a pretty important feature for me. Can anyone help me with this problem?

Emile, welcome to the forums!

By off chance have you tried clicking in the highlighted area of the resource to drag it where you want instead of directly on the resource's title? I noticed this can be somewhat confusing.

I am able to click on a title in my library and drag it to the "plus" and "minus" these resources. I cannot, however, click on a title in the "plus" and move it to the "minus." To remove a title from the plus and move it to the minus, I have to click on the "red x" and then add the resource again by dragging it from the library.

Boy, do I feel like a dumb-dumb! Yep, you found the problem. I was clicking directly on the resource title or on the picture, and going (literally) nowhere. I just clicked the highlighted area and tried to drag... and voila! Seems rather counterintuitive in a way... seems like clicking more precisely on the item would be the way things usually function best, but in some ways I suppose that's easier... I can be sloppier with my track pad! ;-)

Actually, I'm not new to the forums. I don't know why my counter is at 0. I stayed away for awhile after feeling like the discussions that I observed were becoming very unkind/ungracious. That bothered me... a lot. After staying away for several months (and returning to the field) I gingerly started reading a few again. Then I came up with this problem so tried a post. Between those times, I had an email address change... perhaps that is the reason for the post count change? Doesn't bother me either way... I don't get any strokes from seeing a big post count number under my pic ;-) But I don't want to represent myself as a newbie and mislead people, hence the explanation.

By the way, I should say that after much apprehension about Mac performance with L4 from reading these forums, I did switch to Mac. I have a Macbook AIr 1.86 mHz 4 GB ram with 120 GB HD. I have had zero problems with speed, downloading, indexing, etc., etc. I am still learning L4 in general and Mac in particular, so I am probably still a lite user of L4, but the concerns seem very unwarranted in my case. L4 seems to be working excellently (better than on Windows for me). I'm still struggling a bit with the switch to Mac (things like the trackpad, which still frustrates me greatly)... Don't intend to go off topic, its just that's why I posed the question. I guessed that the problem was with me interfacing with the Mac and my trackpad, rather than a problem with L4 itself... seemed too basic to be a problem with the program. Perhaps a clarification is in order on the wiki concerning collections (i.e., to click the highlighted area rather than the title or pic)?
