How to Use: THE PRACTICAL WORKS OF THE REV. RICHARD BAXTER

I just bought "THE PRACTICAL WORKS OF THE REV. RICHARD BAXTER" in hopes that I could wade through the material over the next few years in preparation for a NANC certification. I was curious, before I charged into it, if anyone had advice on how the material is laid out, and if there would be a good process to follow when going through it?
Thanks,
Derek

Wow! That's a lot to get through. 23 volumes. The contents and layout of each volume are pretty well summarized on the product page: http://www.logos.com/product/4218/the-practical-works-of-the-rev-richard-baxter
What I would recommend (at least how I do it), is to plan to get through the key works. If you haven't already read it, I would recommend starting with the Reformed Pastor, which is found in Volume 14. : logosres:baxter14;ref=Page.p_1
You can make a reading plan to read it in 1 month or however else you would like. If you are unfamiliar with how to do that I made a video right here showing you exactly how you would set up a reading plan for Baxter volume 14: http://screencast.com/t/2mqVxvw5zp3Z
Also, to take advantage of your Baxter library, you should create a Baxter Collection. This will let you limit your searches to what Baxter wrote if you are looking for a comment of his on a particular verse or topic. Here is how you would set up a simple Baxter author collection:

I created a note file with the contents of all the volumes linked to
their location in the each volume. I've attached that as a Word document
from which, perhaps, you can build your own notes file if you are
interested. If not, the Word document can steer you in the direction you'd like to go from week to week.6761.Index to The Practical Works of Richard Baxter.docx
I would probably start with his three best-known works: The Reformed Pastor (volume 14), the Christian Directory (volumes 2-6), and The Saints Everlasting Rest (volumes 22-23).

Thanks, Jacob!
It's nice to know each book can become part of a Reading plan.
I didn't see Reading plan in Android app yet, but I hope it's coming.

Thanks Mark. I just loaded that as a PBB, and it works great. Do you know if there's a place I can pick up other indexes for Bunyan, Pink, Nicene & Ante Nicene Fathers, etc? This will be great for me to consolidate the multi-volume works into easy overviews.
Thanks,
Derek

Derek,
Attached are two MS Word files for the ECF collection. Alpha was created by George Somsel and lists material alphabetically by author. The second (TOC) is a master table of contents for the church fathers.
I have nothing to offer on Bunyan or Pink and have not heard of anything anyone has done on these two.
