Docx File [noncorrupt] Will Not Compile in PB

I have a docx file which seems to be O.K. [opens normally, etc] but, for some reason, will not compile in my Personal Book. The error message reads: ERROR WHILE READING DOCUMENT. Any help on this?

Without more information, it is hard to say. If the document is not of a sensitive nature, you could try uploading it for someone to take a look at.
One thing I have tried, is cutting and pasting sections into another document to see if individual parts will load. Also, you could save a copy (so you don't lose your work) and try removing ALL formatting. That will at least give you an idea of the problem.

Hi Alabama,
I just downloaded the file. Perhaps you may have some insight concerning it. Thanks.

I took a quick look at it, and it is definitely something in the footnotes. I successfully built a book when I deleted them all.
I am currently on a deadline to finish a ministry position questionnaire. If no one else figures it out with you, I will see if I can take a look at it later. [:)]

Thanks, Alabama. I'll check it out. Thanks for taking the time to look at it.

Might be the logosref link on the scriptures. Remove the hyperlinks and try again (select text and Ctrl+Shift+F9).
EDIT: I copied text with footnote 7 to my test PB and it compiled OK. Removing the hyperlinks from the footnote did accomplish something as the references are no longer duplicated on hover (hover the footnote marker, click, and then hover over a reference in the temporary window)!

Dave,
I'm not sure I understand your solution. I may have used the WORD 2010 capability with the one scritpture in the body of the article [that is Heb 2:10-11] - but I don't believe I used it in the footnotes. Alabama feels the corruption is in the footnotes.

I compiled your document with a pre-release version of Logos 4.3 SR-2 and had no problems at all. While I don't know for sure, my guess is that the specific underlying issue that was causing the compiler failure has already been reported by another customer and has already been fixed.
Please try compiling this document again when SR-2 is released.

I was referring to the references in the footnotes. See my earlier EDITed post for benefits even though Bradley knows the root problem is solved in SR-2.

Thanks, Bradley. That is encouraging.

Re my previous post on Footnote 7
You will see this logosref: popup on many references when you hover or click on them. These need to be removed with Ctrl+Shift+F9.
When you paste text into your document the default is to paste formatting + hyperlinks. It's best to change your paste option to Plain Text in cases like this.
