Well this has been a great waste of time- time after time- indexing quits after waiting 6-8 hours for it to finish and always with about 2 hours left.
I have had with this program- has Logos posted any solutions to these problems?
Logs would be useful to see why the indexer is getting stuck, I'll just copy Dave's advice [:)]:
Close L4 and enable logging by downloading this file: http://downloads.logos.com/LBS4/LDLS4Installer/EnableLogging.js
Start L4 and get it to crash (close L4 if necessary)
Zip the log file and attach to your post.**
You can disable logging by downloading & running http://downloads.logos.com/LBS4/LDLS4Installer/DisableLogging.js
Log files are created in \My Documents\Logos Log Files.
During beta, there were some indexing issues caused by unusualresources in people's L3 libraries that stuffed things up - and from your description it's always failing at about the same point; is this aclean install or install with L3 in place?
L3 is in place.

I also noticed that on my laptop there is a subfolder "install" in my Logos4, but it is not in place on my PC, does indexing place that folder there, or is it something that is causing the issue?
I've never seen an 'install' folder, even during indexing... It soundslike something might have gone wrong during install; have you trieduninstalling, downloading the most recent installer afresh and goingfrom scratch?
ok I see nothing that allows attaching file to my post- am I missing something
The install folder is actually in place on my laptop and it works perfectly so far- the PC is another story.
Whyndell: Click on the little green icon that looks like a piece of an old film strip and it allows you to post a file. I had to post a LOG file and it worked well for me.

Ah! I see... it's the other way around... There meant to be an attachments things her somewhere but I never found, you can just add the text files with the "Insert media" button though...
