A feeler to see if enough people are interested.  I have a Moodle installation (online classroom software) that permits "classes" to be run essentially as discussion groups. With the release of A History of Preaching and of The Reading and Preaching of the Scriptures in the Worship of the Christian Church, I was wondering if there was enough interest to have a study group.

I was thinking of working one's way through historical sermons - one or two per major preacher or preaching style from early to contemporary. My personal interest would be focusing on how they interpret and explicate the Scripture in their sermons. Membership would not be limited to Logos owners although we would generally use Logos 4 resources, I'd try to find online versions for those who don't have the Logos resources My own collection is very light on the last 200-300 years.Big Smile

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."
