Use a different one, such as SBL Greek, it works (at least on Windows).

I hope some of the Mac gurus can help you with the fonts they use. In the other thread I also tried Gentium and kadmosU - maybe give these a chance?

I use Palatino Linotype in Word for Mac. It seems to work for me. Hope it works for you. Graeca II is an old TrueType font, while Palatino Linotype is a Unicode font with a much bigger character set. There can be issues copy pasting into Palatino Linotype, mainly in some of the diacritical marks, but it's not too much of an issue.

- have you verified that the text is recognized in Word as Greek language?
- what font do you use in Logos for displaying Greek, maybe you can play with this
Otherwise it might help to post a small docx that doesn't work for you to see whether others have the same issue or not.

Are you sure SBL Greek is correctly installed on your system? Try downloading it again from http://www.sbl-site.org/educational/BiblicalFonts_SBLGreek.aspx - it's free and according to http://www.sbl-site.org/educational/BiblicalFonts_FAQ.aspx#Mac it should run on OS 10.4 upward.

The old Greek fonts like this were not unicode. In Unicode each character has a unique code, this means that if you change fonts you don't get confusion of characters. However, these old fonts mapped Greek characters to Latin character codes (or sometimes other character sets). That is why when you change fonts the characters change. The old way made typing easy but causes problems like this now that the font system has been standardized.

I'm not sure whether you still work at this - what we all missed back in Summer is that Libronix (Logos 3) has an automated feature to convert non-unicode into unicode fonts - see this thread: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/41469.aspx

you're very welcome. Before using the L3-tool, check back by test-building a PB - maybe the current version of L4 PB builder can read non-unicode Greek fonts, if they are installed - at least that worked on my machine with the TekniaGreek font and if L4 is restricted to only some non-unicode fonts, they will be even faster replaced in Word than using the L3 tool.
I really didn't expect this and had already a number of screenshots prepared to build a wiki page on non-unicode conversion when I found that L4 built the book with TekniaGreek in it.

Mick and Mark. You have encouraged me to try again encouraged. Microsoft Word macros do not work for me well and I decided to wait. Your help comes very well.Now I have more options. We report results as soon as I get to work on my documents with non-unicode font. As if someone else is in my situation.

Just one other thing to note regarding fonts which you may not be aware of. Logos 4 Mac comes with a lot of greek & hebrew fonts used in the software which are not installed in the usual places in the Mac. Don't ask me why... one of the non-native Mac quirks of Logos 4.
You can however make use of the fonts by copying them to standard Mac folder locations - please see this thread.

My dear friends, thanks for your help.For me, the best solution was to use the Libronix 3 automatic feature to convert non-unicode into unicode fonts.
