changing font or display size

I last raised this issue in Dec 2009, but I still haven't heard or discovered anything. Are there (or has anyone found) keystrokes to change the font or display size without going to the drop down menu (alt+ -)? In Libronix, I could increase/decrease the font/display size in a window as quickly as I could click ctrl+shift+< of ctrl+shift+>. I loved this feature and made constant use of it, especially when displaying texts on a projector screen.
Even when trying to change the font size via the drop down menu, I have to use the mouse to adjust the font size. I cannot find a keystroke that will allow me to move the slider once I have selected the font sizing bar.

It's not possible to do exactly what you want, but you can set keystrokes to switch between a 'normal' view and a 'projector' view. To do so:
- Open up your favorites panel from the tools menu. Make sure you can see all the slots under 'Bookmarks' at the bottom.
- In command bar, type in the command set text size to xx% or set program scaling to xx% depending on your preference. xx must be a valid choice (e.g. 80, 90, 100, 110, 120, etc.)
- When the resulting drop-down shows the correct command, drag that command to one of the Bookmark slots at the bottom of favorites.
- You can the use the keyboard shortcuts to execute the command. The shortcut is CTRL+slot_number.

Thanks, Mark. It's a cumbersome work-around but it works, at least on panels set at default sizes (not on others). Maybe those of us devoted to the keyboard can get a keystroke sequence soon. I'll keep waiting and watching.

Program scaling will change every resource, even those not at default sizes. Text size only changes resources at the default. I prefer program scaling for projector use, as it also scales up the interface text, which is often also helpful.

So there's no way to change the font of only the default Bible for instance and not effect the font of the other resources?

Wow! This is my new favorite feature! I was having trouble distinguishing the eta from eta with iota subscript in the Greek New Testament Insert. I used this to increase the font size in that window, and now it's easy to distinguish eta from eta with iota subscript. Thanks!

thanks this really helps. I was having problems reading with my old eyes and this makes things a lot more readable

For the benefit of those who might not know... Ctrl + and Ctrl - can be used as shortcut keys to change the panel font size. I don't know for sure what the keys are on mac, but Cmd + and Cmd - would be a good first guess.

Thank you for this tip Andrew!
I have programmed these 2 key combinations (Ctrl + and Ctrl -) to the side buttons on my mouse and I am glad that I did.
