Sorry This reference could not be loaded at this time

I installed RefTagger and am getting "Sorry This reference could not be loaded at this time" error messages. Does anyone know what might be going on?

I had to create a separate link to test it, because most of my bible references are already links to biblegateway.com

NetBibleTagger ( from http://labs.bible.org/NETBibleTagger ) has a check box you can click to use there feature along with existing links to http://net.bible.org, http://biblegateway.com, or other sites for their scripture references

Is there anything in RefRagger to do the same thing?

As I indicated in http://community.logos.com/forums/p/37619/281954.aspx#281954 I would really like to find a way to combine RefTagger and NetBibleTagger, but that may not be possible

Hi Don,

Can you post a link to a page where you're seeing the problem?

You can tell reftagger to try to convert existing links with the option: Logos.ReferenceTagging.lbsConvertHyperlinks = true;

I am testing RefTagger on http://donsingleton.org/_rapture/prophecy.htm, and I am testing NETBibleTagger on http://donsingleton.org/_rapture/trinity.htm

Neither page is complete yet. The whole site is a work-in-process, and I am trying two different tagging service, and neither works as advertised

I added the Logos.ReferenceTagging.lbsConvertHyperlinks = true; but no change. The first link with http://biblia.com/bible/nasb95/Psalm%2044.21brings up the popup, but it says cannot be loaded at this time, and the other links, like http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Psalm%2044:21&version=NASB in the Omniscient line do not bring it up at all

I am not seeing the "reference could not be loaded" issue that you described; the Psalm 44:21 reference at the top of the page seems to work fine for me. If you are still seeing that error, could you tell me the name and version of the browser you're using?

I am using Firefox 6.0, but I solved the problem myself. I was making changes to my web page and then looking at them on my HD with file:///C:/don/_rapture/prophecy.htm, rather than FTPing them up to the server, I don't know why, but the reference does not work from my HD. At least I can take the link, With IE 8 the reference window does not appear AND the link does not work.

Now is there any way to also combine the features of NETBibleTagger (example on http://donsingleton.org/_rapture/trinity.htm ) or get it to work with a bible from phpbible.org that is on my HD? Understand this website is being developed to help people Left Behind after the Rapture.

Sorry, but no. RefTagger only works with Bibles served from Biblia.com.

What I was hoping for was Javascript that would just pop up a box and let the viewer select RefTagger or NETBibleTagger. I don't know enough JavaScript to even know for certain that it is possible, much less do it, but it would be nice.

It is possible, but we don't have anything to support it at this time.
