I just downloaded Logos 4 for Mac and tried to install it. It came up once. It's greyed out in the applications folder and now whenever I attempt to run the program it starts an indexing screen and locks up-- not responding. Any help?
Yes, indexing/downloading takes hours. Your best bet is to start it before you go to work or to bed.
And if you have one of the larger resources packages be prepared for the initial process to cross from one day into the next.
Every time I've allowed indexing to go overnight, it goes from about 13 hours at first, to about 35 at the end of day 1, to (always by the next day) over 150 hours remaining. That's probably too long to allow it to really keep running, though I might let it over the weekend. It did apparently download (and/or copy from V3) 20GB of resources to its secret folder. I'm inclined to revisit it in a few weeks and see if the indexer is repaired (also, I have a quad-core I7 8GB iMac on order - maybe that will run faster than my current 2.16GHZ Core Duo 3GB).
