I have no good news to report. After waiting a long time to upgrade to a major library in Logos, nothing is going well.
The program "was" working decently so I went back to Logos and added another large section os specific works.
Download and Indexing went ok ( slow, but ok ), then there was un "update" that came through that seems to break just about everything.
I have watched this program for a long, long time, and have to say: I have never seen product development this poorly done, if this was in any field other than Christian software, it would have been toast a long time ago.
Utterly disappointed is all I can say.
I appreciate the Wiki links I was pointed towards and have implemented every thing recommended, not only for Logos, but also for my Mac.
Slow does not begin to describe the situation.
Trying to "resize" something is no longer even possible, scrolling has become a reminder of the 1960's dance "the jerk" and crashing, locking up and overheating my computer are now the norm.
I need some rational answers, some real help to resolve these issues and, please, I do not want to hear the usual answers that one basically needs a Mac that has not even been produced yet because Logos is so advanced and resource hungry. The Problem here "is not" my computer.
My Questions:
1. Is there any way to "uninstall" the latest update?
2. Should one look to remove resources one does not use or need, to help this program run, in other words-lighten the load?
3. If the above questions are not applicable, is there any reason to expect a quick "update to the update" to fix what it has broken?
This Program was not "quick" before the update, but was usable, it is now 75% slower than before.
If anyone has an actual "workaround" I would appreciate it.
Thanks for letting me rant, very frustrating spending this kind of money and did not get any study done today because of trying everything I could find "just to get it usable again".
Thanks ahead of time for any help,
Rusty+
