What do you want to delete?

Initially, I want to delete several devotionals that are on the home page and replace them with ones I use.  But being new to iPad (although I've used Libronix and Logos 4 for several years) I have a lot of questions.  I have tried to find some kind of user manual for the App on my computer (iPad specific if there is one)- that is what I would like to find most.

But another question is how do I go about deleting books listed under the Recent Books tab in the Library and replace them with ones I want .  Also- how can I change the list of bible translations that will appear when I use Tex Comparrison.

Thanks alabama24- Any answers you can give me are appreciated... especially some kind of user guide to this app.  I have to believe that there must be one somewhere- the Logos videos are totally inadequate.

Unfortunately there is no manuel (for Logos 4 or the iOS app). You can find a list of release notes HERE. Your best bet is to ask questions and make suggestions on the forums (as you have done).

how do I go about deleting books listed under the Recent Books tab in the Library and replace them with ones I want .

I don't have my iPad on my to take screen shots, but on the bottom right there is a "more" button. If I remember correctly, that opens a set of options, one of which will allow you to delete books from the recent list. Unfortunately there is not a way to manually add books to the list (other than just opening them).

I want to delete several devotionals that are on the home page and replace them with ones I use.

That is a great idea, but I don't think it is possible (yet). Logos is in the process of updating the sync features. This will bring features such as notes & highlighting. Perhaps this will come too!

Sorry I can't be of more help. If you have more questions, feel free to ask. I may need to wait until I have my iPad in front of me. [:)]

Thanks so much for your answers.  The clarification has eased a lot of my anxiety.  I still can't delete Recent Books though; 'More' gives me 4 options- History, Preferred Bible, Accounts or About.  I can only delete my past History and have still not found a way to delete Recent Books.  Thanks especially for the IOS Release Notes.

Did I read somewhere that the devotionals on the mobile homepage are the three highest prioritized of your devotionals?  If you have none prioritized then I'm not sure how it chooses.  Worth a shot to throw your three favorites down at the bottom of your resource prioritization list!

    Paul -

It's worth a shot to try... I'll give it the old Harvard Try.

    UPDATE:

OK. Personally I believe that you should be able to control some things "in app." Being able to control what devotionals are on the home screen should be one. If this is NOT going to be the case, then it should be based on L4 prioritization (which is not a bad idea).

Paul, you may be correct, but prioritizing the devotionals had no effect. Of course, this could just be another instance of the syncing problems with the iOS app and L4 (such as with reading plans).

I allso read a post from over a year ago that the devotional must be a daily devotional.  Now whether that is a devotional with particular dates of the year or simply day 1-31 of each month I do not know.

All the ones I prioritized were "calendar devotionals."

    Update...

looks like two of the three of my prioritized devotionals made it on my iPad

Morning & Evening and Daily Help by Charles Spurgeon worked while Take Heart - Daily Devotions did not resulting in one of the For The Love of God remaining

mine too [:)] I will not start using it, however, until syncing and highlighting are up to speed.
