St. Cyril of Alexandria, St Dionysius the Areopagite

The St Cyril of Alexandria Collection is about to break out!

Just in case you all haven't noticed, Cyril was one of the preeminent champions of orthodoxy (or Orthodoxy, if you're Orthodox). If it wasn't for him, who knows if we all might be leaning just a little more towards heresy!

While I am at it, I must plug yet another early Christian Father, St Dionysius The Areopagite. It would be shameful to be a scholar of Christianity without these two resources. (I hope I didn't overstate that, obviously it would be even more shameful to be without a Bible). Wink

Is it correct to refer to Dionysius as St Dionysius as no one knows who he even was, given that he is universally recognised as being "pseudo"?

Probably not correct. But he seems saintly enough. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. You know I could have called him "my homeboy Dio." Someone unknown/false might roll around in their grave, though.[:P]

PLEASE don't drive him over the top on a Wednesday morning! We won't have time to get the price down. Wait until after noon Bellingham time! (Actually, lowering your bids for a couple of hours wouldn't be a bad idea, to lessen the risk of him going over now. Just remember to raise them again after noon.)

Do you own Portfolio, the Church Origins Collection or the Catholic Library Builder? In that case you also own Thomas Weinandy's and Daniel Keating's The Theology of St. Cyril of Alexandria. Imagine how annoyed you will be when you start reading that book and click on a link to see a quote in context -- and all you get is a message telling you you don't have access to that resource. And then you find out what it will cost you to buy Cyril at full price, and you remember what you could have gotten it for on CP. Surely you don't want to put yourself in that situation?

Let's get this down to at least $21, folks. This is a must have.

(And, yes, so are Erasmus and Dionysius, so bid on them too. It would really be a shame if we couldn't get Erasmus down even one single step.)
