Sympathetic highlighting doesn’t work with LXX

Hi. For those who don’t speak Greek Sad , it is useful this tool. You highlight a text, and simultaneously the text in Greek (in this case), is highlighted in that language in the other window. But doesn’t work with Septuagint (LXX), even it has the highlighting function activated. Any help? Thanks!

It depends on which LXX resource you have. For sympathetic highlighting to work, the "Manuscript" line in the interlinear data of both resources has to be of the same language. In the case of the Old Testament, your translation (e.g., ESV) has a Hebrew Manuscript line in the interlinear data, and the LXX also has to have a Hebrew Manuscript line in its interlinear data too. The only LXX resource that has this is the Greek–Hebrew Septuagint Reverse Interlinear (which integrates with the Septuagint with Logos Morphology). The Lexham LXX doesn't not have a Hebrew alignment, and its manuscript line is the Greek, so there's no way for Logos to do the sympathetic highlighting with the Lexham LXX.

See below, I have both of those LXX resources open, but only one has the sympathetic highlighting:

I believe the Greek–Hebrew Septuagint Reverse Interlinear is only available with a 4.0 base package purchase, as seen here:

EDIT: I notice that none of the Spanish base packages seem to include the Greek–Hebrew Septuagint Reverse Interlinear. This seems like a major oversight.

KF is the designation of all the current base packages (it is like a version number). You have the Spanish base package Biblioteca Académica Bilingüe, which is different from the English Scholar's Library.

Like I said previously, it doesn't look like any of the Spanish base packages include the Greek–Hebrew Septuagint Reverse Interlinear (or the Septuagint with Logos Morphology, which is required for the Reverse Interlinear to work), including the highest level, Biblioteca Platino Bilingüe .

You would have to call sales to see if there is any way you can get it without upgrading to an English base package, or perhaps they can give you a deal that would allow you to upgrade at a discount since you already have a high level Spanish base package.

Logos 4 Visual FIltering can reduce font size, change font color, and apply subscript to original text (e.g. Lord) and add Text After (e.g. יהוה):

Currently, 6 English Reverse Interlinear Bibles have Anderson-Forbes Hebrew Morphology and Anderson-Forbes Aramaic Morphology tagging in Old Testament.

Are you sure that "sympathetic highlighting" is active in all of the resources? Also, it seems from your screenshot that the Logos Morph LXX doesn't belong to your link set "A", this might have an impact as well.

It seems that, even you have Greek and Hebrew texts, a Greek-Hebrew interlinear is requierd to Hightlighting Sympathetic functionality to work. As Todd said, it is a big oversight having texts without the possibility to work with them. I've asked that the Greek-Hebrew Interlinear be included in the libraries where there are Greek and Hebrew texts.

The "trick" is in Highlighting: Font Styling changes original text (e.g. "Lord" translation for Hebrew lemma) to 20 % of original size plus subscript (smaller still) with light color so effectively disappears on screen, Text After has Hebrew replacement.
