Prioritisation of NICOT/NICNT series
I recently purchased the NICOT/NICNT series and prioritised it as my second highest Commentary Series.
When I run a Passage Guide on my laptop, it is prioritised correctly.
If I run a Passage Guide on either my iPad or iPhone, prioritisation does not seem to be taken into account for this series - other series are prioritised correctly.
Does anyone else see this?
Thanks, Graham
EDIT: Apologies, when I said iPhone above I meant Android phone - so this issue is common to both mobile platforms.

Thinking about this a bit further, I noted that a commentary which I used to have prioritised on the laptop and then removed was still showing as prioritised on the iPad.
So I tried changing some other prioritisations and they were not reflected in the iPad app.
So it seems to me as though changes to prioritisation on the laptop / desktop are not being replicated on the servers that handle prioritisation for the mobile apps. The reason I saw this first on the NICOT/NICNT bundle was that they were recent purchases and hence recently prioritised.
Can anyone else confirm this behaviour?
Thanks, Graham

I have come to the firm conclusion that when the mobile app smells bad it syncs. [:)]
The current sync features on mobile just don't work properly. There was another thread about prioritizing devotionals. It took days to take effect. Reading plans can take weeks. It looks like we will have to wait for "sync 2.0" in Logos 4.5 before things work properly.

Hi Alabama
I thought about whether it was a sync issue - and it could be.
But with the actual PG being run on Logos servers and just the results being sent to us it seemed like it could be slightly different.
Just speculating...

Graham I have the same problem. I have the NICOT/NT prioritized as #1 on my Logos at home but is not prioritized at all on my iPad. I don't think anything has synced to my iPad recently at all, but I'm having syncing issues of my own (http://community.logos.com/forums/t/38391.aspx) that are still unresolved so I'm not sure if the etiology of my problem is the same as yours.

Yes. I see this behavior also. (Although it does put the NICOT/NICNT in the top five.)

Currently, default priorities are being used by sections of the app like the Passage Guide. This will likely change in the future so that user preferences are employed instead, but since, according to the developers, such an alteration will require 'significant architectural change' that may be a ways off yet.

Hi Tonya - thanks for getting back to me on this.
However, I just want to check this a bit further.
What I am seeing is not "default priorities" but "priorities as set about a month ago".
In other words, prioritisation in the PG used to work but it seems frozen to a previous state.
I knew that there were issues with advanced prioritisation but normal prioritisation always used to work.
So, trying to understand whether something changed to cause this.

Tonya, the app used to honor prioritization from the Logos app. I am seeing the same thing as Graham. The app is using previously set priorities.

For those experiencing the problem, how recently did you change resource priorities?

I'm just going off what the developers tell me. [:)] I'm waiting for an update from them on this.

Dave, I changed priorities about the end of August - this was when I got the NICOT/NICNT set.
I'm just going off what the developers tell me. I'm waiting for an update from them on this.
Tonya, appreciate that and all you do!
