Logos and Kindle

If you have a Kindle with free 3g or if you use your WIFI connect, the Kindle has a web browser.
Then go to
www.biblia.com
Logon and access the content through that.
The article mode can help, and I tried the mobile view on biblia.

I believe mine is supposed to have this, but I haven't learned how to access it. Any tips?

Make sure you have wireless turned on on the Kindle -
Menu
Turn Wireless On
Then -
Menu -
Experimental -
Launch Browser
I use library.logos.com more on the Kindle than I do bibia.com
I found that just reading is easier at library.logos.com and that is mainly what I use my Kindle for in relation to LOGOS

Peace to you, Ed! ........ and ........

I do not own any Kindle or IPad or Android or anything.... The price of the Kindle (although it lacks colour!) is tempting....
My question to you is: "Can one download resources on the Kindle for viewing later when out of the Wi-Fi area?"

I deny it. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.
All I see is your name.

Thank you. I have one yea and one nay. Can I get a second second opinion (no, I'm not stuttering). I just want to be positive about this.

Thanks to all those who responded. This makes it possible to breathe a bit easier. I'm wondering whether the one outlier has to do with the same problem Milford experienced with seeing another's avatar.

Hi,
Is there any digital manual out there detailing how to use the mobile version of Logos at library. logos. com?

Two comments:
- To answer your question, I do not think there is a digital manual.
- The preferred and newer on-line site is Biblia.com . It is my understanding that this is the site that will be maintained and developed over the next few years - subject to change, of course.
Also, let me suggest that when asking a question outside the subject of a on-going thread, you should feel free to start a new thread. It will make it easier for others with a similar question to find your post and any responses.
Blessings,

I have sold my kindle to a friend of my, as most of the feature on kindle is available on my iPad, except kindle still easier on the eyes, and I miss the Text to Voice feature....
All I am hoping is one day we will be able to listen to logos book on ipad....

Amazon stores all your content on its Cloud system, so its conceivable that our libraries could be stored Amazon's Cloud! Then we'd just have to find a way to store the Logos 4 engine(s)/system on the Kindle, and we're set!

It's been just about 20 years since I worked in the greater communications field and I might be way off base with my comments. From my limited knowledge I don't think any one entity has ownership on "the cloud". For all I know we may currently be able to store our libraries on someone's remote servers now and access our personal library from any computer we can sit down at. I'd be interested in what other technicians have to say on this concept.

Amazon stores all your AMAZON (i.e. "kindle") content on its Cloud system. They are not going to store your Logos Library for you.

The term "cloud" refers to online storage of resources (i.e. video, music, books) which is "pushed" to an owners devices (i.e. computer, tablet, cell phone). The content is owned (or licensed) to the individual user (i.e. you). The "cloud" is owned by the content provider (i.e. Logos, Amazon, Apple). The "Cloud" does not refer to a single entity, but to a method of content sharing. The use of cloud storage requires a fast internet connection and (potentially) eliminates the need for large hard drives on the user side.

This is possible now for some of our resources at Biblia.com. NOTE: Not all publishers/authors have given permission for your resources to be used this way. Also, The powerful search capabilities of Logos require an index of your locally stored resources. This feature is NOT (currently) available in the "cloud."

Yes, I downloaded all my underlined/highlighted portions of a book last week, using the Kindle cord that comes with it--that comes apart to make a USB cable.

I got my Kindle Fire last night. Went immediately to the App store to look for Logos. It wasn't available.
Then I went and found the Vyrso app; it was there, but when I tried to download it, it gave me a warning box that said Vyrso wasn't compatible with the Kindle Fire and I wouldn't be able to download it.
I'm guessing the fixes are probably minor things...overlapping buttons, etc.
Obviously I'd like to see both available for the Kindle Fire.
Eating a steady diet of government cheese, and living in a van down by the river.

good idea.

Milkman - What's a good idea? If you are referring to the Logos app on the fire, it is available, but has to be jerry rigged. See the Android forum.

Joe - It has been there for a couple of weeks. Unfortunately, it does not load directly onto the Kindle fire.
