Citations

Hi all...

I just finished my paper (ya!) and I need to easily cite the resources I used. When I copy / paste into Google Docs or LibraOffice I do not see anything cited. Can't there be just a simple way to right-click on the resource and go, CITE. I've highlight the necessary page numbers in the paper itself. This copying a fake paragraph to get what I need is no fun...

Going to try to export to a file rather than copy to clipboard, maybe that will work.

Needs a little improvement on this front...perhaps though I stink and am using it wrong. Cya.

PS: Just tried to export to html, rich text, word, etc. the cites do not appear even though they show on the export screen.

PPS: Works with XPS export.

Michael I just copy/pasted the following into this forum. Notice the citation at the bottom (I changed the font after pasting, to make it clear what I was pasting):

This always happens when I select text and then copy/paste. Does this not happen for you?

Further, if you're looking for a bibliographic citation, click the little "i" in the circle in the upper right of the pane. Scroll down to the "Citiation" field and you'll see "Copy." You can click that and paste it where you want. Here's an example from that same resource.

Calvin, John and John King. Commentary on the First Book of Moses Called Genesis. Bellingham, WA: Logos Research Systems, Inc., 2010.

Note: you'll have to format it properly by adding italics (or underline, if your institution requires it) to the book title (as I did), and double check to make sure it's formatted according to the format required.

Tools | Program Settings ---> set Copy Citations = Yes
