Verse Comparison

When I go to verse comparison, there are 4 bibles that it compares to.  Is there a way (or maybe a feature suggestion) that allows me to choose what bibles I want compared to?

    Hi Greg

I don't know of any facility to set this within the Android app.

The setting is done in the main desktop / laptop application using prioritisation - see http://wiki.logos.com/Prioritizing for details. Your top 5 prioritized Bibles will be used for comparison. (Note that there seems to be a problem with synching prioritisation settings which may cause this to not work as it should).

This, of course, assumes that you are also running Logos on Windows or Mac.

One of the differences between the way selection of translations works between the main Windows / Mac environment and Android is that on the desktop platform the selection starts with the translation you are currently reading - on Android it ignores the translation you are reading and just works from your prioritization list (This is true for the iPad app as well). I think it would be good to behave the same way as the desktop version.

    Logos, any thoughts?

I just did a Comparison and not using the version one is reading (NKJV) defeats the purpose of the exercise. And I don't appreciate the Lexham LXX Interlinear appearing as the 5th prioritised bible following my English ones (it would have been the NIV if it was available on mobile devices!).

I don't mind the default of Prioritised English bibles as I'm not likely to compare Original Language bibles, but the version being read should be the first. When I compare a Greek bible with this default, the passage is compared in 4 English bibles (I wonder why a 5th one was not included as that is my top Greek bible and the one I was reading).

I've reported the issue of the 'current' Bible not being included in Text Comparison to Development.

I'm not able to reproduce this on the iOS app.  On iPad, it does include the 'current' translation for me when I run a Text Comparison from within the Bible (i.e. from the '+' menu at the top right of the reader controls in your Bible not from the bottom row of icons.)

Agreed - I was using the bottom row of icons.

I'm sorry but I keep running up against this issue - and using icons along the bottom as opposed to using the "+" menu. It just seems intuitive to me to see an icon called "Text Comparision" and to press it! I am probably not alone.
