Last chance or else

Last chance to upgrade Logos package - now last chance to upgrade from Logos 3 to 4. I really wonder why this noose is placed upon the necks of those who own Logos? In other words, do it or else. Is there really a reasonable explanation? The market? :-}

Isn't it just last chance to upgrade with the discount? I don't think it will ever become too late to upgrade.

I bet it costs them money to keep training their tech support people to be able to support Logos 3, which is no longer being worked on internally. So the more people they can encourage to move up to Logos 4 now, the better support they'll be able to give on into the future.

Well, it's certainly obvious to me. The competition between the new whipper-snapper Logos4 and 'classic' Libronix has heated up so much, that the Logos4 team is getting worried!

One BIG lesson for software companies, is never make your older software really good.

I'd assume, you're referring to the $69 cross-grade that has some real goodies that feed back into L3?

I believe this is a Logos marketing effort to get people to engage. This is a way to create a sense of urgency, I think there will be future discounts as the market dictates.

All I can say is that I agree with a another thread started by someone else. to have the message pop up EVERY TIME I start Logos was REALLY annoying. I was glad to see a Logos employee say they were looking into things.

No, they will always be happy to sell the upgrade. I'd rather be bugged 20x than miss out on savings. My wife knows I need to be reminded often.

I believe that is the main reason none of the Perseus offerings will ever be made available in Libronix.

One BIG lesson for software companies, is never make your older software really good.

And reading teachers need to be careful not to be too successful promoting literacy. Libronix 3 is the biggest competitor to Logos 4, in my estimation.

There is an easy solution: Simply avoid closing Logos then you won't receive the message. [:D]

Except that everytime you receive a new resource update.....like purseus....it asks you to update restart Logos.
