PBB fonts too small

I know this was discussed back in the summer, but on certain documents, it seems no matter what I do in Word, the fonts are converted too small in Logos. On other books, it seems to be great. Does Logos have a preference from which font in Word it converts from? Should the document be in Times New Roman vs. Calibri?

I am not sure what is going on.

I have a Word file where the Normal font is Calibri 11 point-and it is very tiny in Logos. I have another document in Calibri 11 where is it fine. I have a document in Times New Roman 11 and it looks fine in Logos.

This makes no sense, but the file in Calibri 11 that looks tine in Word is much larger (more words) that the one that looks fine. (trying to find differences, here)

Is anyone else experiencing this?

Also, I did try enlarging the fonts in Word - nothing seemed to change in the PB.

You seem to be saying that when you compile certain MSWord docx files the resulting font in the personal book is too small. Is that right?

The first thing that comes to mind is the size of the font in the paragraph style you are using. I'm wondering if when the style size is overridden in the text, Logos goes with the style size. But I'm not really sure, since I haven't done a lot of these (yet) and have not personally run into this problem.

You might be interested in the discussion at http://community.logos.com/forums/t/36740.aspx - it seems similar to what you are seeing.

This refers to a post by Tonya - http://community.logos.com/forums/t/34561.aspx - and, at the bottom, it looks as though there was a bug. This was in the Beta 8 timescale but I don't know whether this issue was actually resolved or not.

Use Times New Roman for every document this will allow you to change the font and the size in Logos. I have not found any other font that works.

TNR 12 is often too big for a Word document but looks good in a PB.
