Why does iOS get far more resource updates than desktop?
It seems that at least once or twice a week, I have dozens (this week there were over 100) of resource updates to download on my iPhone/iPad...but there never seem to be corresponding resource updates on the desktop side. What is being done to the mobile resources that is causing so many updates? I'm assuming it is not typos since the resources aren't being updated on the desktop.

Yes, and my iPad refused to download the last twenty. I had to download them manually. I believe the culprit was the ESV Study Bible. It took about 14 minutes to download it.

The iOS and desktop apps handle updates of metadata (the stuff in the resource info view) a little differently. The desktop downloads the new metadata silently in the background. The iOS app needs a little more data, so we ask the user to explicitly download, in case you want to wait until you're on WiFi.

That makes sense. Thanks Dave.
