Connection to Website timed out

I've been trying to use the Passage Guide on my HTC EVO 4g but when attempting to do so I continually get the message "Connection to Website timed out. Check your internet connection". I am using a Wi-Fi hotspot I've set up in my home and the phone is clearly connected via Wireless and Networks in the settings menu of the phone. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Any comments on a potential solution?

    I think there is a restriction on using "hotspots" that connect to a website, because i have no problem with a regular wireless router at home.

    Thanks for your input. I just realized I shouldn't have written"Wi-Fi hotspot". Like you I have a regular wireless router to which I am connected (not a hot-spot) and I still get the "time-out" message. I actually spoke with customer support this past week and after 30 minutes the person I spoke to had no idea what was happening. Turns out there is no level 2 support for the app as yet since it is still beta so I was no better off after the conversation .I've uninstalled and re-installed the app but the problem persists. Did you do anything other than download the app and install?

    No - the Router has a standard setup for a LAN, so I would check for any restrictions in your Router's setup.
