Suddenly lost a bunch of resources!?

I went to the Passage guide to see a list of commentaries relating to a passage, and noticed that instead of 20 or so commentaries, I had about 6. I went to the book list and instead of 476 books I have 304. What could have happened to get rid of my books, and how can I get them back?

I am running SR-5, and I understand that was a very recent update, updated since the last time I used Logos I think, perhaps that is the problem?

Actually, just after posting this I had an idea. I bought the Bible Study package back in March, and recently upgraded to the Original Languages package. When comparing what I have and what the OL package contains, it appears to be identical. If this is the problem, how do I redownload the Bible Study package?

Sadly, no. I used the same address, and for a while I had both libraries at my disposal simultaneously.

Wondering if any resources hidden ?

Looking at comparison chart => http://www.logos.com/comparison noticed Original Languages does not have any commentaries. Passage Guide commentary section shows commentaries that contain passage verses.

One option is contacting Logos Customer Service (email or call) => http://www.logos.com/about/contact with reference to this thread; wondering if upgrade to Original Languages removed licenses for many Bible Study resources ?

Noticed Scholar's Gold has all Bible Study and Original Languages resources plus many more. Scholar's has all Bible Study and many Original Language resources.

I have emailed Logos about the situation. Its late so I hope to receive a reply in the morning. And I do not have the money to spend on other packages, but thank you for pointing that out to me.

After looking, the "commentaries" I have are things like "A textual commentary on the Greek New Testament" which is in the Original Language, but is not listed under commentaries.

And is it actually possible for me to lose licenses like that? It sounds absolutely absurd. Buying books removes the ability to use books I've already bought? If that is seriously the case, I hope I can either get my licenses back, or a refund so I can take my business elsewhere. I certainly hope it is not a license issue though. I definitely love using Logos.

Not to be nit-picky, but to understand you better... When you say "book list" do you mean the library?

Is it possible that you have filtered the "book list" somehow? Is there anything in the search field, or is it completely empty. Have you restarted you your computer?

While you are waiting for your reply you might like to go to your order page on www.logos.com and check out the list of things that you have bought this will give you the date that the order was downloaded and will make sure that you know what Logos people are seeing when they check your account.

What it means "simultaneously"? When you upgrade library, you still have just one library (the bigger one that includes all the books from the previous one). Not 2 libraries. If you were able to get to the 2 Logos installations simultaneously it means your new Package has been installed as a different account. Let us see what Logos will tell you.

Yes, I do mean the library. And I only have one library, but it contained the books of both packages .I have restarted my computer, checked for hidden resources, and typed in "rebuild index" in the command bar and let it do its thing.

I've checked my account already and it does indeed show my purchase of both libraries, so that's good.

I'm thinking its my account rather than anything wrong with my computer because my iPhone app also is missing almost all the books from the Bible Study package. I noticed it has "Why Four Gospels?" by A.W. Pink, a book in the Bible Study package and not the Original Language package. However when I click the arrow it says, "This book is only available online because it is not part of your Logos Bible Software library. Learn more at Logos.com."

I haven't received a response yet but when I do I'll let you know.

Ok, so I got an email.

It turns out that I did in fact lose my licenses. I was not under the impression at the time, but it turns out that when I bought the Original Languages package, they thought I wanted that instead of the Bible Study package as opposed to in addition to the Bible Study package. After talking with them, they are going to allow me both packages, and I believe that they will do it for no extra charge, though I am not positive about that.

So, hopefully by this time tomorrow I will have all my resources at my availability. Luckily they have been very helpful and understanding.
