Nook Simple Touch
Hi all,
I've been looking for an alternative e-reader for the android app since I heard the app will not run on the kindle fire (since it does not have an sd slot).
Has anyone worked with a Nook simple touch? How was the root process? Is the machine relatively fast/quick with the logos app?
I am looking for a relatively cheap alternative to getting a full blown tablet/ipad. Coming across the nook simple touch, with its e-ink display and supposed "root-ability" struck some interest in me. So I'm reaching out here to see if any of you have direct knowledge, have worked with the app on said product. Again, I am not looking to do anything else with this "tablet" except use the logos app. So please let me know your thoughts.
thanks,
rb

This user did a good job making a simple video of how Logos can be used with the Nook Touch.

Very affordable. Easy to "root" the device from instructions on the web. I am very please with it. I can check email. I can read google reader. I downloaded the amazon app. Works well.
Best of all the Logos app is very good. I can read my 2000+ books while away from my computer. However, like other users, we are all "chomping at the bit" to get a highlighting feature. Unfortunately, I fear this lack of a highlighting feature is causing potential customers to look to other app software vendors.

if you would rather converse via email, if that is better for you, i may be reached at rs_bustamanteatyahoodotcom
