Doing Passage Guide and Word Studies Offline

Perhaps I missed this post somewhere, but why can't I use Passage Guide or Word Study in offline mode? I downloaded more than enough resources to my phone to accomplish these tasks without internet connection. Am I missing something?

Thanks.

    Word Study:

The reverse Interlinear data (lemmas, morphology) for your bible is kept on the Logos servers.

    Passage Guide:

Information like Cross Ref, Literary Typing is kept on Logos servers.

I think the initial search to determine which resources contain the word or passage is also done on servers (there is no Index on your phone).

Thereafter any links to your resources can take advantage of being on the phone.

It would be great if this were developed for the future.  I'm a missionary and travel a lot where there is poor/no cell reception.  That's often when I want to use the app the most too!

why can't I use Passage Guide or Word Study in offline mode?

Given the functionality claimed (from FAQs at top of forum), I agree... ?

Q: What features are currently supported?

    • Access to your Logos library*
    • Online access to streaming books
    • Offline access to downloaded books
    • Footnotes
    • Preview Bible references
    • Word lookup
    • Passage guide
    • Bible word study
    • Text comparison
    • Display settings
    • History
    • Navigate by
      • Verse picker
      • Table of contents
      • Typed reference
      • Slider
    • Position syncs with Logos 4

IMO, it'd be VERY helpful to clarify whether BWS & PG are intended to be Online only (as it's clarified elsewhere in the list), or if Offline use is still coming (since Offline BWS & PG aren't specifically listed as coming). To me, too, it looks like it's implied that they're there----and they aren't.

IMO, it'd be even clearer if the list of functionality was split into separate online & offline lists.

    I'm just sayin'....  [:)]

Lovin' what's there... wishin' for more. [H]

    [Y] +1

I've already had to download a competitor app for access to simple search--even off-line. Can' t wait to be able to ditch it, though no such off-line function has been announced.

Yes, I agree. Not being able to do a simple search in a Bible is a bit pedestrian for software like Logos. Hopefully they will fix this in the near future.

I agree.  I think this is probably the second most wanted feature.  Maybe only after having all languages display and format correctly for functions.  Split screen use might be number three.  With the growth of android hardware and storage capacity this definitely should be possible.
