Basic Greek

Hello, I know Logos (when using the mouse over a word in greek) gives you the basic information concerning the lemma, but is there a way to get the information for the word as used in a context?

For example: 1 John 2:18 . The first word is παιδίοα, however its lemma (nominative case, neut. sing) given is παιδίον. I know from my book experience that παιδίοα is plural, neuter, vocalative. How does Logos show that to me?

Hi Joseph, I'm not sure I understand your question. When you hover over a word in the Greek NT, Logos gives you the morphology in context (in this case noun, vocative, plural, neuter). Is this not what you're seeing when you hover over the word παιδίοα?

The same information is available in the Information pane, which might be easier for you to see.

Note: some Greek words have 2 or 3 morphological tags since spelling has 2 or 3 grammatical possibilities (usage determined by context).
