Max Lucado Essential Bible Study Library

I have just purchased the Max Lucado Essential Bible Study Library libronix disc and if anyone else has done the same it appears that the resources are not recognised by the Logos 4 "cloud".

The files have to be loaded from the disc into Logos 4, with no files being available for mobile devices or being installed by way of thne update now command, so if you lose the disc (or forget that you have to) you will lose the files on reinstallation.

I think this is down to the files being labeled as "updated" with the Logos 4 files not having this anotation, I am chasing this up with support and hopefully something can be sorted out.

This is a recurring issue for Logos users. Contact customer service and give them the registration number and they can unlock it for L4. The other way is install it in L3. Sync your licenses, then update resources in L4. It should then recognize your new titles.

This is not the issue, it is unlocked for Logos 4 (this was confirmed with Logos support), it is just that Logos 4 will not download the resources after it is unlocked, and this is not due to needing to restart the programme etc. This can be observed by the resouce both not downloading and also not being available on a mobile device (despite the L4 resource being mobile enabled)

I wish that you would actually read my post rather than assuming that I do not undersatnd how to install a libronix resouirce into Logos 4.

Since the resources are not available to you on biblia.com it is clearly not an l4 issue. If your license for these resources had been enabled you would have access to them therefore the logos support representative you spoke wih must be mistaken. You will need to call them up and have them register you again.

The resources are unlocked in Logos 4 if loaded from the disc (using the scan command) and the unlock has been twice confirmed by Logios support, I really think that the unlock has been in respect of the "updated" files, not the original files located on the central servers.

This can be observed because for a time I had the files in Logos 4 on my laptop but not on my dektop, despite attempting to update several times and trying all the normal tricks, the files only appearing after scanning the disc.

I've never tried scanning a cd. I've always just called them up and then downloaded them afterthey've activated the resources. If you've had access to them. On your laptop then all I can think of is that the scan method didn't pick them up correctly and you do not have l4 set to update or you have it working offline. However the fact that you do not have access to them on biblia.com still tells me there is probably an issue with your license.

Same here, I only scanned when they would not download, and the fact that they work then suggests that the licence is ok if it can access the correct files

Mike I read your post fine. Your libronix disks are for L3, Not L4. No matter how much you scan it will not work in the cloud so it will not sync across your devices or biblia.com. Because it won't I tend to think something is wrong with your license. I still stand by my first post of calling Customer Service.

I just checked my Lucado resources in L4 and Libronix and the files in both resource folders appear to be the same. The file name for On the Anvil by Lucado is: ONANVIL.lbxlls.

I wonder if you were to copy the resource files from Libronix into L4 if that would work for you? I don't think that Logos recommends this (someone correct me if I am wrong) but I have done this before and it seems to have worked.

Technical support have confirmed that the licences in the resource are for updated files that Logos does not have on its servers yet, they only have the old files.

This should be remedied when the time is ripe.
