Michael
I was looking forward to it like you, but I see that it has slipped by a week to 31st October. [:(]
I suppose it will teach me patience!
Every blessing
Alan
Treat! October 31st is the big day. [8-|]
Next you will be saying "Trick" [:S] [:D]
The ISV is a simply awesome translation. IMO. Not that I know anything about translation. But the way it reads… Ooh it's SO good. I was going to say, Ooh la la, but backed off for religious reasons. [8-|]

I'm trying to figure out why I ordered it other than to have it available. I've considered cancelling to save some $$.
Best reason that comes to mind for me is—it's simply AWESOME! [8-|]Do you have the NT? The whole ISV is available for perusal at other sources, so you don't have to take my word for it. Check it out!

I have the NT, and It'll do. I prefer to do my own translation.
Do you have a PBB version of your own effort? And if you do… pretty please? I can be pretty nice when I want something. [8-|]

No, I have a Logos produced version.
Wasn't the verdict still out on whether the OT was going to ship at the same time as both the OT & NT? Anyone heard about this?
I believe someone here said it was. I'm still curious whether the resources are going to be combined or split. It would REALLY be cool to have Bibles act like series so that a user could mix or match testaments. I'd definitely want them to be whole when searching both testaments, however. I'd also want more Top Bible choices available in the prioritization list, if that were the case.

My own translations are scattered about and don't exist as a single document — a little on one section of scripture in one note file and a little on another section in a different note file. I have 22 files on Revelation alone (for those in Rio Linda, that's one for each chapter).
If you'd ever care to share even a small sample I think I'd enjoy that.
I would be happy to do so, but as you may recall I had a slight problem in which all of my notes were left blank. I am re-importing them from L3 into L4 one file at a time and reworking them as I do so. This means that my old work is not immediately available and what I do have available is largely not translation material. I have imported one file which might be of interest to you an have begun to work on it, but this will take some time as I have other irons in the fire.
1346.1 Samuel.zip
You asked for it, you got it.
4314.1 Samuel.zip
I would include more, but it takes some time to convert this.
Thanks, George. Much appreciated.
[Y] I agree whole-heartedly, the ISV is an amazing translation.
And the answer to my question is YES, both versions are shipping... Logos answered my question by shipping just the OT I ordered... [Y]
I've been informed that there is some kind of problemo unlocking the ISV: OT…This is to inform you that there was a problem unlocking your order of International Standard Version: Old Testament. Please call us at 1-800-875-6467 or email us at customerservice@logos.com to resolve this issue. Anticipation—is making me wait! Hopefully my precious will be here when I get home tonight. [8-|]
Unlocking problem is resolved. And for some strange reason, you appear at the top of the list of unlocked orders. Weird how that works. (Not that I was sorting alphabetically or anything.)
The International Standard Version has a study outline index at the end of the resource. I like it.

I already owned the ISV New Testament and so only purchased the Old Testament. Logos downloaded the entire Bible so that they are one resource. I can't see any reason not to hide the older New Testament release, it seems to me to be an unnecessary duplication.
it seems to me to be an unnecessary duplication
I think that you are right that it is unnecessary to have both on your account. The duplication was a necessary evil in the sense that the other option would have been to have two separate resources. You should remember that you have another license for the ISV NT. If you ever end up with a bunch of duplicate licenses, perhaps you could gift or sell them to someone else.
