a Problem and proposed solution

I know we've been talking about this since the Beta so the conversation is nothing new, but a proposed solution came to me that I thought makes a lot of sense.
Problem: When I make a highlighting its not all that easy to find out where the note for that highlighting is. Even if I keep things organized in the future it could become difficult to navigate to a note attached to a highlighting.
Solution: Right click on an annotated section and "annotations" will be a selection in the right column. select it and there will be sections on the left for each layer of highlighting present. Each section would have the following options (or some of them):
Remove This layer (Keep Note)
Remove This Layer (Remove note)
Edit note
Above the first section could be an option to remove all layers.

a definite possibility - I need to think it through but it looks good

Currently it says "remove annotations", which will delete all layers, so there should also be a list of Note file(s) to allow editing from the file, rather than clutter the LHS of the Context Menu any further.

To me, "remove annotations" is useless. its rare that I would ever want to do that given the direction of notes/highlighting integration. Plus this is doable with a keyboard shortcut and from the highlighting tool. Where are you recommending this "list of note files" be located? I really don't see it as adding clutter. If you are not on something that is highlighting it wouldn't show up. If you are on a highlighting, the highlighting has a good chance of being what your right clicking for.
It seems like the most natural place for the function, but I'm only one opinion :-)

I was suggesting that 1 or more View Note File name for highlight replace "Remove annotations". If you selected a word that is part of multiple layers it will better enable you to delete the appropriate layer. Consider the case where one layer is contained fully within another.
I'm concerned about dictionary lookup being further hidden on the LHS.
