Suggestion- right-click Export to Evernote?

Perhaps someone who understands the COM api could figure out how to make a right-click menu item that creates a new note in Evernote with the selected text and reference, or even just exports the text to evernote.

Evernote is becoming my dominant note-taking tool.

Glad you brought this up. Olive Tree's BibleReader for iPad/iPhone exports notes to/from Evernote. If Logos had similar functionality it would be awesome as I could share notes between both apps. Even better if the Logos iOS app also supported Evernote.

I'm guessing this needs to be added as a suggestion on UserVoice and hopefully others will be interested in it.

This really does seem like a logical solution to the notes problem. If the sync between Evernote and the iPad app were to be extended to L4, I think that could solve a lot of problems that many of us have (possibly even working with graphics from our books).

A vote against this unless you wish for Logos to reinvent itself as an integrated Bible study environment pulling together of group of external softwares - a mind mapper, a timeline generator, a concept mapping utility, an argument mapper, an annotator (I prefer a.nnotate), a bibliographic function (Zotero - which can be used now) ....etc.

The problem is that every change in each external software e.g. Evernote requires modifying the environment software, probably increasing the cost for Logos. In general, people find it easier to learn and use an integrated program rather than a suite of collected independent programs ... plus when things go wrong, each software firm points their finger at the other.

Do I understand you correct to rather use the Logos-built in features (such as notes and PBs) to allow for "integrated" bible study than a suite of programs? For most of us, probably including you, Logos is not the only tool in the shed - but to use them in a non-integrated way just adds effort. I think this is partly the official strategy of Logos - instead of inventing a full-scale wordprocessor with foreign language capabilty and whatever, they rather integrate with Word (in a two way manner). That keeps Logos focused and I would think this is a good thing.

I read on the web lately about using Zotero as a kind of resource manager - includings this famous article http://www.reformation21.org/articles/organizing-a-personal-theological-library.php - and I feel it may be much to un-integrated and cumbersome to do this. But I think I want to be able to at least manage my resources and notes centrally. I'd prefer Logos, but how do you do it? I was contemplating making a PB for every "resource" I own outside of Logos (which includes printed books as well as PDFs), but this would be such an effort. How do you do it? Any ideas?

Mick, I try as much as possible to keep everything within Logos 4 which is one reason I don't want to move to external notes I do use Zotero documents that are not in Logos.and A.nnotate for some websites. I use a wide variety of visual tools but I want very much to be able to put their graphics into Logos. It appears that they may have to be in a PBB which is more of a hassle than in notes where they more accurately belong. I am in the process of slowly building my own front-end to Logos to handle some of the issues I have with Logos. And while I do use VulSearch 4, BibliaClerus and occasionally Davar, I generally copy the pieces I need from them into Logos. I don't want Logos to build a word-processor but there are some basics of notes that I think they should provide.
