Questions about offline resources

I have the Logos Android App and so far it is working great! However, to save on battery, I prefer to work offline. I have two questions:

1) Is there a way to know whether a book can be downloaded and used offline before purchasing? I wanted to buy a Spanish Bible (LBLA or NBLH). Both are available online even though I haven't purchased them (presumably a freebie), but I would like to download one.

2) My Greek Interlinear pulls up Strong's references inline and shows them in "The Theological Dictionary of the New Testament" However, even though I've downloaded the dictionary, it gives a "Not Available" error if the wireless is off. Is there a way to fix this? Why can't it use it?

When we started having the iPhone option for accessing Logos books, we knew some books in the library were licensed to be read on the iPhone, some were not. so, Logos has given us symbols on the product's page to tell us if that product is accessible on the iPhone, like this:

notice the "iphone" icon in the lower left, along with the Mac and Windows/PC logo. This resource can be accessed on all three. AND, if it can be accessed on the iPhone, it can be downloaded to the iPhone. I presume that the same is to be true for Android. However, I am not noticing an Android logo on several products I checked. I don't know if that means Logos has not added the Android logo (my assumption) and/or that the iPhone logo will indicate whether or not it is available on Android, too. In other words, if the iphone logo is present, does that mean we can assume it is available on Android, too? I don't know the answer to that.

i don't know the answer to this, I don't have an android to test it. but i wanted to check that you make sure that you DID download the TDNT, and that it is still showing as downloaded. (On iPhones, I can tell if it is downloaded because the resource description and icon will have a little "airplane" logo next to it.) check that resource in your library and see if it is still registering as downloaded. Also, make sure that your link is to the TDNT and not the abridged version (TDNTA), or visa versa.

I also seem to remember that a product on the iphone could be downloaded, but that updates to the iphone OS version made you have to re-download the product. But I am unsure on this point. can anyone shed light on that, and if it is an issue with Android, too?

i don't know the answer to this, I don't have an android to test it.

Any lookup (e.g. for a dictionary word or Strong's/LN number), demands you be online whether the resource is on the device or not.

FYI, when you hover over the smartphone icon, an info box pops up with "iphone/ipad". may want to change that to "iphone/ipad/android"
