Survey: Performance improvements for adding a note and applying highlights.

Beta 3 Release Notes states "Performance improvements have been implemented for adding a note and applying highlights."

Has anyone noticed an improvement in either area?

I have seen some improvement - there is less hesitation while typing.  It's not gone, just occurs less.  There is still more work to be done.

    Based on initial observations:

There has been major improvement for me. I have not broken out my highlight files, so they are very large. I have been hoping to see improvement without having to reengineer how highlights are saved (i.e., multiple smaller files). Initially,  there had been as much as 5-10 second delays when highlighting. Note: I am running an I5 laptop with 8 gig memory and a fast hard drive. I can't imagine what it was like for others with slower machines. Now it is down to 1-3 seconds. Not yet what I would like, but radically better than it was. It is back to being usable for me.

For me, highlighting seems like it may be a little more responsive. I am still seeing lag in typing when I have several things open at the same time. This morning I am working in a layout that has the following open:

    • The Parallel Alligned Hebrew-Aramaic and Greek Texts of Jewish Scripture
    • The Lexham Greek-English Interlinear Septuagint
    • A BWS Pane
    • An Exegetical Guide
    • Two copies of the NASB95 (one displaying the interlinear)
    • A note file

With these items open I see some significant lag in typing in the notes file
