I am doing a study on the Greek word, noús. Is there a way to weed out the French word, nous, from my search results? Better yet, is there a way to entirely weed out resources written in other languages?
You could create a collection of all your resources with this filter: lang:english and then search just that collection. But this doesn't exclude journal articles written in French. I've tried various strategies to exclude articles written in French, or to include only those written in English, but so far my strategies have not succeeded.
Have you run a Bible Word Study on this word (νοῦς) yet? The easiest way is to open a rev int to a passage like Rom 12:2, right click on "mind," select "Lemma" and follow then Bible Word Study. This will open the door to looking at how the word is used in different passages. At the bottom of the study is "Textual Searches" which lets you look at how the word is used in the NT and The LXX. If you can't read Greek, click "Add Versions" to put an English version in parallel with the Greek. I recommend the NRSV, since it does include an English translation of the apocrypha.
Thanks, Richard.
