Mac Multi-touch gesters support in Logos 4

It would be cool if the Mac multi-touch gesters worked in windows like Biblical Places. For example, scaling and also moving the images at the bottom from left to right. The home page would be brilliant to be able to swipe left and right to see the news. There are probably lots of other clever places they could be employed and I know this is not functional, but hey... this is one of the fun things about Mac!

Now there's a strange thing! Yesterday I was viewing the home page and managed to get it to 'swipe' backwards and forwards using my Magic Mouse.

However I couldn't work out which gestures were making it move - the movement seemed almost random. More than one finger I can say, but how many, and whether up or down or across seem quite arbitrary.

And today my layout, which was left open overnight is fine but the home page doesn't want to update and is 'greyed' (more like fogged) out.

I tested this on my MacBook Pro. A two-finger swipe right and left will flip pages of the home page. However, a two-finger swipe up and down also does this.

EDIT: After trying again immediately after posting, it appears that only the up and down swipe (normal for scrolling) seems to work.

BTW, the up and down two-finger swipe works fine for scrolling through the various text windows in the bible versions and resources.

Inertial scrolling also works in the various Logos windows. Macs are just too much fun.

For any graph,

pinch to zoom doesn't work
when I use two fingers touch, expecting moving things around, it becomes a zoom
and how to move things around then? hit the touch pad hardly and move

I am getting to like the OS X Lion gestures, so hoping that it will be totally supported in Logos 4 :-)

You might want to check your Trackpad settings (I am able to move things around - for maps with 3 fingers):

I see. I left it as default: to use three fingers swipe for mission control and expose.

I now activated all functions and use 4 finger for mission control instead.

If memory serves me right, you are also using VMs like Parallels. If there is any comfort, I found most of the gestures works on Logos4W running on Windows 7 under Parallels 7.0. on my Mac (scrolling direction may be in opposite direction though).

It took me a week to get used to the 4 finger gestures, noticed the change from Snow Leopard to Lion.

Until Logos comes out with more support for multitouch gestures, you can download BetterTouchTool for free and set up your own custom gestures and shortcuts to do what you want either system wide or app specific. After upgrading to Lion, I missed some of the old gestures of Leopard, and I came across this app. It turns out the trackpad is a whole lot more powerful then even Apple gives it credit for.
