Logos Bible Software Gift Card Idea
I think this has been suggested before, but with Christmas just a few weeks away...
I would love to see Logos come out with a gift card that a family member or friend could purchase for a specific amount and give as a gift. This could either be done online and the "gift card" printed out at home or sent through the mail. The "print out at home" is done by other retailers and works well for a last minute gift.
Even taking this a step further, what about the possibility of an individual purchasing a specific resource as a gift for someone else?

Ronald - Great idea! Unfortunately there is not a simple fix. Bob said that they were working on this more than a year ago. I am sure if it were really easy, they would have found a way. [:P] I agree with you and hope it comes soon!

I agree with you and hope it comes soon!I think this would be a wonderful idea. I wonder why this is so difficult, they use coupon codes...couldn't something similar work out. That's one thing I would not expect to be difficult. Maybe it has something to do with the web system controlling Logos.com

I don't know, but if it were easy, they would have done it. After all, they would love for us to start spending other people's money as well. [:)] What I do know is that it would be better for Logos to not offer this service, than to do it poorly. My guess is that this is the reason we have not seen gift cards yet. There probably are easy ways to do this, but not easy AND good.

Because not only could we buy books with other people's money...but Logos users like us could then get out friends and family members hooked on Logos too.

I've been agitating for this service for years. My kids often buy me Logos credit for birthday and Christmas, but it's a pretty complicated business for them, especially from here in the UK. I'm sure a simple system would boost Logos's sales considerably, especially at a season like this, so goodness knows why they don't give priority to getting it set up. Come on, Logos friends - get moving!

David - Sorry to disagree. A "simple" system would be a disaster. If it were "easy" and "quick" it would have been done already. I have no inside information. Perhaps Logos has the legwork done and is about ready to "flip the switch." If it were me, I would NOT test out a new system just before "a season like this." Imagine how ticked off you would be if your kids birthday and Christmas gift money got "lost in the works" (or better yet, added to MY account [:D]).
I want Logos/Vyrso gift cards just as much as you, but I firmly believe that it would be a bad move for Logos to rush to put something together. Bob is well aware of the need / desire. You can read his thoughts in THIS POST from September of 2009:
