Ordered Logos Scholar Silver DVD
I ordered Logos Scholar Silver with DVD. Just a couple of questions...
1) How long does mail delivery usually take?
2) Can I go ahead & download the program while waiting for the snail mail?

Not sure if you can download it now or have to wait, but the time it would take would depend on what type of shipping you paid for and when you ordered it. You might be able to download if you log in with the account you used to order it. I've found that when Logos ships something they are pretty quick.

Hi Rhonda,
Welcome to the Forum!
You can download & install your new Logos4 from the Logos website while you wait for your DVD to arrive. Follow the steps below
In your internet browser navigate to: http://www.logos.com/
when you get there locate Account link and click it
Then locate the Orders link and click it
Then scroll down your orders and locate your order, then click on the order number
It will open a webpage which shows your order, scroll down towards the bottom
and you will see Download buttons, click on the one for your computer (windows or Mac)

Thanks for the info :-) But alas, I have no such links on my order page & it still reads "to be shipped" :-( Guess I'll just have to wait on the snail mail...

You can directly download and install the software from this link:
http://downloads.logos.com/LBS4/Installer/Logos4Setup.exe
Once installed, when you open logos for the first time it will ask you to log in. be sure to use the email address and password on your account. Once you do this Logos 4 should recognize that you have all of the Silver Resources to download.
I'm not sure why you ordered the DVD. It would save on downloading if that's an issue. If not, you can get started right away. This si one of teh beauties of the 'cloud' approach to distributing the software Logos adopted for version 4.

Every time I get Discs shipped from Logos they arrive very fast, usually within 2 business days. I don't think they are shipped Priority Mail but they must ship out the same day I order them. If you purchased over the weekend it probably did not ship until Monday morning.

I am surprised your license was not activated at purchase. You might want to call customer service. But if you can be patient for the DVD, it is a lot faster installing than by download. After the install completes it may update a few files that have changed since the DVD was created.

Do not despair, the descriptive "to be shipped" does not mean it has not already shipped. That only means there will be a physical product that is delivered to you as opposed to a download-only delivery. My order history still lists purchases from a couple years back as "to be shipped."

Hi Mark & alabama!
Thanks for the links & my download is going strong. I'm very excited as I haven't used Logos software since Logos X a LONG time ago. I ordered the DVDs just because I like having them, especially when I plan on using it for awhile, but going to a new computer. I am not yet sold on cloud computing although my brother who is a software systems engineer is trying ;-) Logos X tended to crash my computer on a regular basis if I wasn't careful; here's hoping the new Logos does not.
I got the Scholar's Silver because I wanted the Early Church Fathers & Septuagint interlinear. I am starting to write up documents in defense of the Orthodox Faith as well as educational literature on a regular basis & really need these 2 resources. While Logos has Catholic bundles, they do not have anything for the Orthodox as of yet.
Again thanks for all of your help. I'll let you know how it goes.

If you have previously owned Logos resources you should still have access to them through Logos 4 even if they are not included in your Scholar Silver package. If you have any problems let us know.

Oops, sorry for the duplicate postings folks...stupid mouse button acts up. I also didn't think the 1st one took so a 2nd was done. Logos download is currently indexing...no hitches or glitches thus far.

I am very happy for you Rhonda. Once you get everything indexed I truly think you will be a very happy user. If you are not already familiar with Mark Barnes' very high quality unofficial training videos (did I mention that he done them out of the goodness of his heart and gives them freely?) I would recommend watching them as you use Logos. Each video teaches everyone something new, including the veteran users.
