Although I am grateful for the "classic commentaries" selections the value of the books concerned is distinctly varied. Could we possibly have some selections based on Spurgeons recommendations in Commenting and Commentaries?
Peter, I believe this is why I've been so excited about each of the sets. I want to say Logos has a close eye on Spurgeon's recommendations or else what Spurgeon liked, everyone else found helpful as well.
For example:
as for Romans, Spurgeon, in C&C, bolds (and therefore speaks highly of):
Brown#Calvin*Forbes#Haldane#Hodge*Lange*ParrRobinson#Vaughan#SclaterFraser#EltonBinningHorton* indicates a commentary already released in Logos in another collection (3)# indicates a commentary in the Classic Commentary Collection for Romans (6)
this leaves 5 recommended authors unaccounted for. It would be nice, as you suggested, to get those 5 authors too!
[EDIT]
Three released author collections Spurgeon speaks consistently well of include:
Five author collections I'm anxiously waiting for in Pre-pub or Community Pricing that Spurgeon speaks well of include:
Sad that the Adam Clarke set seems to be going nowhere on pre-pub though.
Randall, Clarke is one of the ones I wish had gone to CP when Logos switched to the new website format. *hint* *hint* [:D]

Yes, more hint from me as well [:D]
...and it looks like Sibbes just received a release date!
(Sorry Peter for dragging this thread off course. Feel free to reel us back in!)
It would be really nice if Logos could create a "Spurgeon's Recommended Commentaries Collection" that bundled the specific titles together. Logos has done those type of cherry-picked bundles before.
Noticed Sibbes too. Hooray!

Peter, ST, KS4, & anyone else,
I just compiled a pbb (.docx file) of the 402 commentaries in Commenting and Commentaries that Spurgeon listed as "recommended" by bolding and capitalizing (sadly not shown in the Logos version). I also linked them to the available resource on the Logos website for those looking to build their own Spurgeon Recommended Commentary Set.
